What Parents Say
The Little French School receives universal 5-star ratings from parents who praise the caring, experienced teachers and high-quality French immersion curriculum. Parents consistently highlight exceptional academics, small class sizes, play-based learning, and strong developmental outcomes across social, emotional, and cognitive areas.
We feel so lucky that our youngest child had the chance to attend the Little French School for preschool and pre-k. The teachers are absolutely amazing—so caring and thoughtful, and they really focus on each child’s needs. It’s clear how much they love what they do and how much they want the kids to succeed, both academically and emotionally. The education is really top-notch. My 4-year-old is already mastering skills that most kindergartners are just starting to learn. Plus, the French language program has been such a great bonus. It’s incredible to see our child picking up French so naturally and developing an early love for a second language. This is our last year at the Little French School, and while we’re excited for the next chapter, we’ll dearly miss it. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to any parent looking for a warm, fun, and high-quality preschool that also introduces kids to the beauty of learning French!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 – A Truly Exceptional Start to Learning! We absolutely adore The Little French School! From the very first day, we knew we had found something special. The warmth, intentionality, and passion of the staff are unmatched — it’s not just a school, it’s a nurturing community where little ones thrive. Our children have blossomed in ways we couldn’t have imagined — socially, emotionally, and academically — all while learning a second language! The French immersion aspect is seamlessly integrated through play, music, art, and storytelling, and it’s incredible to hear our little one casually using French at home. The small class sizes mean every child is truly seen and supported, and the thoughtful curriculum balances learning and play in such a developmentally appropriate way. The teachers are caring, attentive, and deeply invested in each child’s experience. It’s clear they love what they do, and their joy is contagious. There’s also a beautiful emphasis on cultural exploration, outdoor time, creative expression, and community building. We’re so grateful for the gentle structure, the daily routines that foster independence, and the way The Little French School celebrates curiosity and kindness. It’s hard to put into words how much this place has meant to our family — we feel lucky every single day to be part of it. If you're looking for a preschool that truly honors childhood, builds confidence, and plants the seeds for a lifelong love of learning (in two languages!), you won’t find a better place than LFS. Merci, merci, merci to this wonderful school and its dedicated team. 💛
We love LFS! The teachers and staff are incredible and our kids learn so much! Small class sizes, play-focused learning, caring teachers, crafts and yoga, outdoor time… it’s really high quality childcare. They have a big focus on academics, but they do it in a fun way for the kids. Our 4 year old is well on her way to reading (in English). And of course she learns French too. Even if you don’t speak French at all, exposing your child to any language at a young age has tremendous benefits.
Wonderful school experience! My child is not only learning but also thoroughly enjoying the process. The exposure to various cultures during heritage day/week/month activities has been enriching for her. The teachers in her class - Barbara and Ariel - are exceptionally kind and sensitive, making the overall learning environment truly fantastic. Bonus: my little one also picking up French!!! Highly recommend the school.
I work in many preschools and chose to send my child to LFS. I never thought I'd put my child in a French immersion preschool (I've been oriented toward Spanish), however it became obvious that LFS was the best quality option by far. Her two teachers (with 12 kids tho could have been up to 15) have been a team for the last 11 years. They have fine tuned the curriculum unbelievably well and are so intelligent, organized and kind. The school is staffed by people from around the world (French is spoken in many countries). By the end of the year the 4/5 year olds had learned about heroes like Gandhi and Susan B Anthony, traveled from one country to another in very detailed pretend, were learning to read, acted out classic fairy tales together, and did movement exercise and singing every day. Their nap system is smooth. The courtyard is no forest so make sure you take your kid to nature outside of school. The classrooms are massive and fabulous. They accept ERDC -however DHS pays on a per day basis so you will need to pay the difference for the months with no school days (eg Dec, March, and June). The substantial deposit will essentially be reimbursed to you the last month. Well worth it.
