We are so happy we made the decision to start tutoring sessions with The Learning House! Honestly, one of the best decisions in our journey to help our son with his math struggles! Just over a month and a half into tutoring, our son has made enormous improvement in his math class and in his ability to stay focused at home while doing homework! He was just awarded math student of the month and we credit the Learning House for this. We have tried other math tutoring places in town, but nothing compares to the quality of The Learning House! Miss Renee is so gifted in communicating with the kids. She has very quickly worked miracles with our daughter. She started going to Learning house near the end of last school year. In less than four months our daughter has more confidence in the classroom than she has ever had. She has been at the top of classes so far this year. She has caught up to age/grade levels on all her classes. The Learning House and Miss Renee have truly been a blessing to our family.

Before arriving at the Learning House our 6 year old son was struggling not only in school, but socially as well. He had been placed on an IEP in 1st grade but we weren’t seeing the results we’d hoped for. It wasn’t until we met Renee that we felt like someone could help our son and was confident about doing so. She confirmed what other professionals had suspected that our son had advanced dyslexia and dysgraphia but assured us that she, and the Barton System she utilizes in her teaching could help him. DID THEY EVER! It’s been 6 months and I can say this is the single best investment we’ve ever made. Our son is reading paragraphs on his own after not being able to read more than 3 letter words. His confidence is strong, and he’s socially engaging with kids his age whenever he gets the chance. Renee and the Learning House are a God Send. Mrs Debbie is also amazing! Where to begin. Starting tutoring for my boys at the Learning House has transformed our lives. Miss Renee doesn't just love kids, she believes in them! She earned our trust immediately. She is serious about holding a high standard, but does it with deep love and understanding. She is Mary Poppins. She is kindness. I was so worried I would come and find that the Learning House was doing the same things I was doing at home without success, but no! They have programs that a tried and true, innovative and effective. Things I never would have thought to do that are making surprisingly quick progress. I've tried so many things to support my boys with their dyslexia, nothing has come close to the consistent, incremental, motivating, and loving tutoring the Learning House offers. I also love that it's in a home. There is something so nurturing about that.
