TLC is the best! The center my daughter attended since infancy closed unexpectedly and I was worried about finding a new place - but TLC is better!!! The teachers and owners are actively involved with the children and families, and you can truly see the genuine care they have for their littles :) I am so happy to have TLC as a safe, fun, educational, inviting, and nurturing place for my daughter. I highly HIGHLY recommend TLC to anyone needing childcare families looking for childcare services!!
Tammy and Steve and their staff have been so great to my kids and very flexible with my schedule! My kids always have a great time and made great friends throughout the years. I would definitely recommend TLC for anyone in the Winneconne area for child care! Their accommodations during summer school and during the regular school year are amazing and have been so awesome while we work I know my kids are in good hands. I also love the app they have where you can easily message the director and teachers if you need something and it was awesome while my son was in the 3k room, we always got pictures and updates so we could be included in his day! Their hours are always dependable, flexible and affordable - that has been the hardest thing in finding good childcare!
My son attends here and has for well over a year. Anytime I walk in with him the kiddos are happy with smiles on their face and the teachers are always in pleasent moods. My husband and I are so grateful to have such a wonderful and safe place for our child. All the staff keep this place clean and safe. Being a caregiver can be an extremely difficult and often thankless job but everyday when my son comes in he is happy and excited to see everyone. Tammy does a great job communicating with parents and always gives helpful suggestions to assist you to grow with your child and help with smooth transitions. Thank you for all you do!
*May seem like a long message, but it is worth the read!* Many of the reviews lately haven't been the best. There are people commenting about The Learning Center being a "terrible place" or "forcing the kids to do/eat things". As an employ at The Learning Center, I am one of the only cleaners. Being a cleaner, I walk past the classrooms all the time and help the teachers as needed. It is needless to say that the TLC staff work their best to make the kids' days go by smoothly. If a child is giving a staff member a hard time, they ask the child to talk about what is going on and anything they can do to help. The teachers at TLC are always there for the kids when they need it. Walking by the classrooms everyday, I can tell that by the looks on kids' faces they enjoy being at daycare. Many of the parents have a hard time getting their kids to leave daycare because they want to stay and play with their friends and teachers. Now people might say that "their job isn't that hard" or "their just like babysitters". Our staff at The Learning Center put their hearts and souls into making lesson plans for the kids. Lesson plans include doing arts and crafts with the kids, learning activities, team building activities, and more. Now when people come into the daycare, they see the staff members with a bright smile on their face. What people don't see is the staff working themselves so much that they break down crying. The teachers get so overwhelmed at times that they don't know what to do. Working at a daycare is an everyday challenge and it isn't an easy thing to do. Tammy Brooks does so much for the daycare and others don't even realize it. Not only does she run the daycare but she also makes the meals plans for the children, buys supplies for their arts and crafts, buys them toys to play with, hires people who show that they will care for the kids as if they were their own, and when someone calls in to work she steps in so the children are able to still come to daycare. So to all the people that are hating on Tammy Brooks and how she runs the The Learning Center must not know how hard it really is. Do Not Criticize Another Until You Have Walked In Their Shoes, You May Never Know What They Are Going Through. The Learning Center staff puts all their effort into making the kids have a BLAST!
I normally despise daycares, but this one not only do my kids enjoy but is roomy, fun looking, and has the most caring group of individuals I've seen yet. They even have gone so far as to get me help to watch my kids after closing hours. I wouldn't recommend any daycare to anyone other than here. To the other comment I have six kids who go to The Learning Center and have all gone there for months I can't ever recall one time where my one year old and now four year old were in the same room.
