The Learning Academy

I am sure this daycare is a great place for many families, just not mine. My child only attended here for a little over a month, as this was a temporary place while we transitioned to an alternate childcare service. Only a handful of the workers actually seemed friendly, and the communication for me was lacking. I hold a high standard for where my child goes for daycare, and this did not check my boxes. The floors looked as if they had not been mopped in months, and there were cobwebs all around the front office. Many afternoons when I would come for pickup, you could hear the girls in the back screaming at the kids. This was a common occurrence. The owner was very nice to work with and to voice concerns to, but I have a feeling she is not as fully involved in the daycare as she should be. The tour that was given vs the quality received was few and far between. I provided a two week notice, and when I came for pick up on our last day, no one even knew it was supposed to be our last day there. I am not bashing this daycare, more so wanting to leave an honest review for perspective parents. As I said, I am sure this is a good daycare for some, but was not for us.

the owner of this daycare is incredibly sweet and easy to talk to. if you ever have any issues, you can easily bring them up to her. all the teachers are incredibly nice and genuinely love the kids. i’ve been bringing my 18 month old son here for a bit now and every time i drop him off, he gets upset but his teacher loves on him and comforts him. whenever i come pick him up, he looks like the happiest kid on earth. ms lily is an incredible teacher (as are the other teachers). on my sons first day, dawn (the owner) sent me pictures of my son and gave me a ton of reassurance that he was doing great and was in great hands! i’m not easy to trust people with my son as he is my pride and joy, my whole entire world, but i trust the learning academy fully.

One star, I would give zero if I could.! The neglect and young girls in the nursery have no idea what they’re doing. Rolled up a bunch of blankets and laid them on my babies chest so they could prop his bottle up while she sat in the rocking chair on her phone. Came home with dried up snot on his face I had to pick it off with my finger nail, plus coming home with dried up poop to his butt as if they did not wipe him when changing his diapers. They are so neglectful. I asked when the last time he ate was and she looked at me like I was stupid. Needless to say I pulled my baby out and I wouldn’t advise anybody take there babies here

we love everyone there. they are so good with my kids!
