We signed up for The Kids House and paid a $2,000 deposit, but changed our minds within 4 days. Angelica confirmed this was within the timeframe to receive our deposit back. That was late October. Since then we had radio silence to multiple reminders and calls. Now it’s February and we still have had no reply and no deposit retuned. I heard good things about the teachers and that kids here are very happy, but we’re quite concerned that the owner is withholding $2k from us like this.
Our son had never attended daycare. I had an immense amount of anxiety about making the transition and the effect on his happiness. All of our concerns were immediately addressed when we chose the Kids House to care for our little guy. We have found the staff at the Kids House to be very loving and caring. It took a little time for the kiddo to get use to the idea of being away from us but the Kid House Team was patient and engaging. Now, he looks forward to going to daycare and gives his teacher the biggest cuddle on the way out.
Our 1 year old son loves it here - he can’t wait to leave the house in the morning because he knows where he is headed! Angelica and her assistants are so loving and attentive. They keep the kids active but also teach them how to sit still during calm activities such as reading and “drawing”. Dance time is a plus 😀. Our son has THRIVED there. We could not be happier.
Back in June my then 18-month-old (2nd child) started at The Kids' House and by the time she was 20 months, she was counting to 10 and saying the days of the week in Spanish. She's now 22 months and can say and point out letters of the alphabet, can say colors, says the days of the week in English as well, can sing various songs, sips water out of a cup by herself, and is starting to show interest in using the potty (lets me know when she needs to pee), and says "gracias mama" after I hand her anything. It's pretty amazing. She's thriving and since we live a few blocks away, will literally run to her school because she loves it. They send photos of the kids daily, they have cameras so you can watch your little one, and they send monthly education plans with links to youtube songs they sing as well as the titles of books so you can play, learn, and practice with your little one at home. I only wish we'd sent our older one there!!! Love the teachers there. And they keep the rooms impeccably clean. LOVE THIS DAYCARE!
This is a wonderful caring and loving place. They are a family atmosphere and they pay careful attention to professional childcare and fun whilst protecting your child from any dangers on the playground etc. I know them all for five years and entrusted both my kids to their care. They always pay attention to improve and have the highest standards of any daycares even those in Bethesda which are in my opinion sterile and also three times as expensive. I take the trip all the way from Bethesda twice daily for this reason. When my second baby started here at 18 months he was skinny and getting weaned, they helped him eat well the food I provide daily and now in December he should be at two years old back on track in the weight chart thanks to them listening and acting on my instructions and concerns to feed him when i cannot be there.
