What Parents Say
The Kiddie Garden Inc receives mixed reviews reflecting significant organizational changes. Multiple parents praise the caring staff and safe environment, particularly noting the director Ms. Farshori's compassion and the center's responsiveness to children with developmental disabilities. However, some parents report concerns about staff professionalism, high turnover, food quality, and management issues, with the center having closed temporarily in summer 2019 due to staffi
Overall very satisfied with our experience here. The staff is wonderful, most of them have become like family to us. If there ever are/were any issues the director was quick to ask how to make it right. The teachers are kind and compassionate, but take no nonsense, just as good teachers should be in my opinion. So happy we found this place 5 years ago, and also sad one of our kids will be leaving soon. Wish we could take a few teachers from this daycare and send them through life with our kids.
We have been utilizing this center since Spring 2017. At the time and up until earlier this year (2019) the center had a director who managed to keep things running pretty well. However since her passing the center has been going through some growing pains. The changing of directorship was not smooth. As a result there was high turnover of teaching assistants and a few disgruntled new staff and even some parents. The core staff who have been working at this center for 20+ years are good at what they do. They care for the children and keep them safe while managing to teach them a few things. At the end of the day, this is a day care center not a private school. Basic curriculum is taught and the children are cared for. If you are a parent looking for flash you won’t find it here. What you’ll find is a small center devoted to keeping children clean, safe and well fed so you can go to work and return to find a happy healthy well adjusted child. For those who do not know the center closed over the summer due to an incident stemming from staffing issues. At this time the center is now open and the core staff who are the excellent care takers of the children remain and continue to take great care of the children. They have renovated their building as well to address any concerns people may have about the old structure. And they have also installed new playground equipment. I recommend this center for parents who are looking for a place which is safe, caring and even a little educational. Overall they care about your child’s well-being and that’s enough for me!
We personally feel our daughter has had a good experience here and haven't noticed anything off. I really hope some of the issues addressed in recent reviews aren't taking place, or if they have, that the center has addressed them. There has been quite a bit of change over in staff recently, and I hope some of that is due to the center addressing the issues others have stated. Our daughter has been there for over a year and has developed a lot in her time there. Having Down Syndrome, we feel she has made great progress being there, and never exhibited signs of abuse. We have county therapists that go to the center every week and work with her, and they have never expressed any concerns with the staff. Is it the perfect place, no, but it is far from terrible in our experience, and we really hope whatever issues they are having get worked out and can continue to operate in an appropriate manner.
Teacher dependent. My daughter, from age 18 months to 2yrs had wonderful teachers during her experience. My son from ages 3-4 did great with the teachers outside of his room. The Director and some of the staff could use some professionalism, emotional, and tolerance courses.......I will just end the comment here.
My son has attended Kiddie Garden for a year and a half now after bouncing from center to center because of different issues. He and I absolutely love it. He has developmental disabilities and the staff do all they can to ensure he is a part of the class and has breaks when he needs them. The owner, Ms. Farshori truly loves what she does, and it shows. She is incredibly understanding when my son has his bad days and makes a fantastic effort to work with me and the staff to make sure he is successful. She also does a wonderful job putting together events for parents/grandparents and does what she can to keep parents involved. My son loves Ms. Farshori and tells her so everyday when we go to leave. I am so glad we found this place!
