The Journey Begins Infant Care Center

We enrolled our daughter at 18m right before the new school year started in fall. And although she was old enough for the toddler room, Michele thought it was best she start in the wobbler room and then transfer over with all the kids who would be the same age as her. And she was definitely right! She transitioned nicely and we love to see her grow every day! We love all the teachers at TJB. I was very nervous leaving her with strangers at first. However my daughter has really learned to love everyone. It’s really convenient that they provide meals and snacks for the kids as well!

Our then 14 month old joined TJB in August and has had an absolutely wonderful experience. The teachers were open and communicative during the initial transition phase, which was definitely tough for our child. They're also very prompt with any incident reports, without being overbearing. Finally, the director was flexible both in terms of what room our daughter should be placed in, and with going out of the way to meet our dietary requirements: I have not always known this kind of responsiveness, and feel both grateful and relieved that when communicating with them. My daughter loves TJB and now knows her teachers' names and friends' names that she will repeat at home every night. We really are lucky to be part of the TJB family.

TJB has been an excellent first school for our daughter! She has loved it and thrived there since 4 months old. Love the open communication, sweet teachers, accessible owner and family feel throughout the whole program. Couldn't have asked for a better care experience as first time mom headed back to work. My baby has been going to TJB since he was 7 months old, and he is now 14 months. I am taking the time to write a review because I remember how hard it was to choose a day care (and get over the sticker shock!) and other people's reviews helped us. We love TJB! All the teachers and the administrators are warm and approachable. They provide loving attentive high quality care. My son loves being dropped off in the morning and goes right over to see what toys are set up for him. At the beginning he was having trouble napping at TJB even though he was a great sleeper at home, and they worked through it with us and now he sleeps great in both places. We really like the meal program so we don't have to pack lunches and snacks. I think eating solid food family style (sharing the same food) with the other babies has been good for his development. Thank you to infant teachers Leslie, Rosy and Jazmine, Michelle and everyone else at TJB!

TJB will always hold an extremely special place in my family's heart as it was the first daycare experience we had with our daughter. As any first time parent could attest to, deciding on a daycare is not an easy choice. We're very happy with ours, because we felt our daughter was in great hands with the teachers and staff at TJB. We know she was given so much love and encouragement every day, something that really brought out her curiosity and confidence. Our daughter was in the wobbler classroom for about six months, made so many sweet friendships and bonds, played and learned through music, art, problem-solving (and many other age-appropriate creative activities), and overall just had a great time. There were many days she didn't want to leave and just wanted to stay and play. The facility itself has a lot of little areas for them to be, including a front and back patio which is ideal. Most importantly, we knew our daughter was being treated with the utmost care and love, which is absolutely priceless. Thank you to Michele and the incredible teachers for making our first experience such a positive one.
