What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise The Ivy International School for its small class sizes, individualized attention, and bilingual Spanish curriculum taught by native speakers. The facility is noted as clean and well-maintained with exceptionally low staff turnover and a warm, nurturing environment. Children show strong academic progress, Spanish fluency, and emotional development while feeling genuinely cared for by teachers and leadership.
This review is long overdue! The Ivy International School is the only place I feel 100% comfortable leaving my children for care. Class sizes are small and every teacher there knows my children, even if they were not their specific teacher, which makes me feel like we are a part of a family. Facility is always clean, bright and comfortable. The staff are always smiling and genuinely happy to see the kids. They are open and willing to accommodate to my children's dietary needs and allow cloth diapering. My daughter attended for 4 years and loved every minute. She wanted to get there early and stay late every day. She is currently 9 years old and going into 4th grade. She is a TAG student and does well in all her classes. My son is 4 and is a current student. He loves his teachers and comes home everyday with proud stories of what he learned and the fun time he had with his teachers and friends. He comes home saying new Spanish words every week and seems to be understanding more and more since he first started 2 years ago. All of the achievements and happiness that my children have experienced while at the Ivy International School is because of the knowledgable and warm hearts of the staff which pours down from the top. Esmeralda, the director, always has a smile on her face to greet the children when they arrive. She clearly communicates upcoming deadlines and events. And is in the classrooms daily to help out wherever needed whether that means to clean a spill, assist a teacher or wipe a butt. When times were hard for us as a family, she was understanding, flexible and a great support for both myself and my daughter. I recently moved to Round Rock and the drive takes me 30-45 mins on some days but I wouldn't have it any other way because I know it is what is best for my child.
We tried two others pre-schools in the area that were absolutely horrible before we found Ivy. Luckily, my husband found Ivy and we've been there ever since. My daughter attended Ivy since the age of 3 and is now a flourishing 2nd grader in the advanced program at her public school. My son currently attends Ivy and we absolutely love it! This school is every parents' dream come true. The turnover is nearly nonexistent when it comes to the teachers, which was why we chose this school. The teachers that taught my daughter are still there today. If you're looking for a wonderful, structured, loving learning environment for your child, this is it. Just to give you an idea of how wonderful the teachers are: my daughter (blonde girlie princess) would come home from school with hearts braided into her hair with varying braided styles every day! It was so sweet! When I would go to pick my daughter up she would tell me that she didn't want to leave lol. Esmeralda (the director) is so understanding and kind and is an excellent communicator. You know your kids are always safe with her at the helm. Ms. Cecy and Ms. Lizzy were fabulous and so sweet! Mrs. Maria is a teaching genius and keeps the kiddos on task (it's truly miraculous) with super fun activities, songs, and lessons every day. She taught my daughter how to write and how to color inside of the lines, which were challenging issues at the time. My daughter absolutely LOVED her!!! Ms. Blanca is also so genuinely kind and caring. She's a great teacher and challenges her students in all of the right ways. Ms. Berma and Mrs. Luisa have always been so positive and sweet! This school doesn't have the boring normal curriculum that you would find at other preschools. They have so many different activities, hands-on educational toys (great for fine motor skills), and a variable schedule throughout the school day so the kids don't get bored. Both of my kids have loved this school and so have we! This is honestly the best school you'll find in the area. Also, the playground is shaded (no need for daily sunscreen), which was a HUGE bonus for us!
The Ivy International School has been such an incredible school for my 2 kids. They attended from the ages of 2-10, so 8 years experience with this school, and I HIGHLY recommend!!! Not only did they teach my children Spanish from native speakers and all about several Spanish-speaking cultures, but they taught my kids everything you'd learn at an accelerated primary school (teaching in native Spanish language). My kids are now bilingual and attending another school (they aged out or we would have stayed forever), which is English-speaking, and they are so well-prepared for higher level learning & thriving because of the dedication this school gave to them in their earlier years. There was no hiccup in transitioning from a Spanish speaking school to English for my kids (we speak primarily English at home). They have basically no staff turnover, teachers who truly care about your child, and an environment that my kids were so excited to go to every day. Any time the students were not being challenged by grade-level curriculum, the teachers would discuss and order more accelerated material to make sure they were allowing the students to advance at their own pace. My kids learned kindness, hard work, how to work together, had field trips to fun places, and an overall supportive environment, all while learning Spanish and about different Spanish-speaking cultures. 5 stars doesn't seem like enough for Ivy International School and their amazing director, Esmeralda & all the teachers. We are so thankful our kids had the opportunity to attend for so many years!
We are SOOOO happy we decided to enroll our son Hayden at Ivy! He attended for 4 years and is now happy and successful at our neighborhood elementary school in addition to being fluent in Spanish! Esmeralda warned us that he would be ahead academically wherever he went next and she was 100% correct! On top of the academics and the social skills he learned while at Ivy, what we appreciated the most was the love and warmth shown by every teacher he ever interacted with. While Hayden was a student at Ivy, my wife/Hayden's mom was hospitalized for an extended period with a potentially fatal illness. Upon learning of this the teachers there increased the amount of love and number of hugs they gave him and simply went above and beyond anything we would ever have expected to make certain he was okay. We will never forget what they did for us and our son!
There truly aren’t enough words to express what Ivy International School has meant to our family. From the very first day, it was clear that this is so much more than a school — it is a community built on love, intention, and deep respect for each child as an individual. The teachers don’t just educate; they nurture. They see our children for who they are, celebrate their strengths, gently support their growth, and love them as if they were their own. The small classroom sizes have made all the difference. Every child is known. Every voice is heard. There is no slipping through the cracks — only individualized attention, meaningful relationships, and a learning environment where confidence flourishes. Our child feels safe, valued, and truly understood. Academically, the growth has been remarkable. Watching our children develop fluency in Spanish while also excelling in core academic subjects has been incredible. The level of rigor is high, yet it is delivered with warmth and encouragement. The children aren’t just memorizing — they are thinking critically, communicating confidently, and developing a genuine love of learning. What stands out most is the heart behind everything. The leadership and teachers pour themselves into these students. There is joy in the classrooms. There is patience. There is consistency. There is excellence. And above all, there is love. Choosing this school has been one of the best decisions we have made for our children’s education and overall development. We are endlessly grateful for the foundation it is helping to build — academically, linguistically, socially, and emotionally. If you are looking for a place where your child will be challenged, cherished, and truly known, this is it. 💛 And to any mom out there who is looking at Ivy for their littlests- stop stressing- You have found the right place. They are not just educators, they are also mothers. Thank you, from the bottoms of our hearts, to all our wonderful teachers at Ivy. You have made ALL the difference over the years.
