The Growing Palace III

Horrible! On several occasions during pickup, my child seemed upset and distressed. I asked Drexann what happened and she could not explain why. When I asked questions, I was met with rude and dismissive answers. The facility is not clean and there are toys scattered everywhere that are visibly dirty. On several occasions she brought her smelly pet monkey into the day care that left feces on the floor. Disgusting!!! What if that monkey attacked my child!! As a parent, I expected a safe, supportive, and responsive environment for my child. Unfortunately, that was not our experience here. I DO NOT recommend Growing Palace, and I would urge other parents to look elsewhere for moreconsistent and compassionate care. If that wasn’t enough… I saw Drexann in the Middletown Walmart cursing at an employee!! Horrible business owner with a terrible attitude. Wow!!!

My 10 week old daughter developed diaper rash in 2 days and a stay at the emergency room due to a virus after only a week of being at the growing palace. ****Thank you for your response however you’re omitting the fact that you did have an ill infant teacher. I was pleased with the infant teachers overall with the exception of the diaper rash AND the virus passed along from either your ill infant teacher or another child. I even was willing to ignore the diaper rash even tho it was developed suddenly and for the weeks prior to attending your daycare my newborn never had diaper rash. What I won’t ignore is the hospital stay for my newborn child, the countless hours we spent at the ER, and my newborns discomfort. I will not chalk it up or let it be dismissed as a “normal” occurrence of getting sick when first attending daycare.

My child has been at this daycare since they opened last year. The teachers go above and beyond for the children at the daycare. They have curriculum they follow everyday with the children. They work on different letters, numbers, seasons, days of the week, months with them periodically. The teachers also do different activities everyday with the children to incorporate what they learned that day. I definitely recommend this daycare to anyone who is looking for a compassionate daycare that really cares about their students. They owner of the center and the director of the center are very hands on. They always make sure the parents know what each child learned that week and ensure everyone’s day is running smoothly. At this daycare they truly care about each child and it shows everyday. They are awesome there!

Just because this place has changed it name and had 2 different owners in the past 6 months doesn't make it any better... I have worked at 10 different centers in the past 10 years and this one is the worst of all!!! They don't let the children have 2nd on food, they don't follow learning curriculum, the place is dirty dirty dirty ...I could go on and on. I wouldn't send any of my grandchildren , or recommen this babysitting center to anyone.

The new owner and new staff are great, they care about the children and their caregivers.... 2 thumbs up.
