I am a swimmer so I tend to look for a pool where ever I go. Pros: the staff is lovely. Lifeguards I've met are so nice and helpful. They have a number of lanes and pretty reasonable hours. Locker rooms are pretty clean Pro/con: You decide if this is a pro or a con. Swimmers in general down here do not seem to like to share lanes. Some people might like this but I'm from up north where you are expected to share a lane and even circle swim. If you are in a rush like I usually am to get in a swim this might not work for you. Cons: Relatively expensive compared to other swimming options in the area. They are not part of Nationwide YMCA so only get 3 free usages for the year then it is $15/swim. THE LOCKERS in the women's locker room are these high tech locks that don't seem to work. I have never been able to either figure out how to use them or they just don't work. I think they are all broken. For the money they charge for fees, I do not know why they don't simply either fix them or swap out the locks for the old fashioned kind where you can bring your own lock. It is kind of ironic that there is a big sign that says lock your possessions but there is no way to lock your possessions. The door for one of the largest bathroom stall does not close all the way. This seems like an easy fix. Fix the lockers and the door please, then I would improve my rating.

Pickleball, my wife and I found Helen Andersen at the YMCA, a fantastic pickleball coach and instructor. We've had lessons before but not like this. Helen takes the time to explain why you need to do certain things to be successful at pickleball and she easily explains how to get it done. We were so pleased after our first lesson that we completed a second one today. We learned a lot and look forward to applying these lessons in our game. Our time in Naples is over for this year, but if we make it back next year, one of our first calls will be to Helen for some more lessons. Highly recommend!!!

My first experience with the Naples YMCA on Pine Ridge ave., Naples was very disappointing. I engaged a personal trainer, Terry Pratt, for a series of training sessions. The first session went fine, but then it went downhill. I was driving to my second session when I received a text informing me that he wouldn’t be able to make our meeting as his bicycle was broken(what about uber?). Not a call, but a text! From that point forward he became hard to pin down for our next sessions, all of which I had paid for in advance. He we not answer my calls, voicemails, or texts. In frustration@‘ I ended up cancelling my contract and requested a refund. Not what I expected from the YMCA. My first engagement with the YMCA was also my last. My advice: Do not engage the YMCA for. Personal training, especially the no show Terry Pratt.

Just visited traveling through the area. Love the gym equipment selection! Some I haven’t seen yet at any YMCA so that’s awesome. Very clean large facility, with lots of variety of services going on it seems. I really enjoyed the HIIT class I attended there too, instructor was great !
