What Parents Say
The Grace Place Preschool has highly polarized reviews. Two parents praised the loving teachers, religious instruction, and welcoming environment, while six parents criticized leadership under director Ross, citing poor communication, lack of structure, unprofessional conduct, alleged policy violations, and inappropriate comments about children's physical appearance.
My son has been so loved and supported by all of his teachers here. They're so helpful and always cheerleading our family. I am very thankful he's been able to attend here. He's also learned so much about God and the Bible that I haven't been teaching him at home. He'll suddenly share something precious about Jesus with me at bedtime that I'm like, you must have learned that at school!
Administratively weak center. Poor communication. Too unstructured for young children unless you like your childcare dollars to pay for mostly free time play… There is some, but too little productive instruction, even while they advertise and boast excellent programming. The staff and teachers are very nice, sincere, and loving to the kids and children like their teachers for the most part, but parents who desire the children’s caregivers to have professional training, they might be disappointed in that regard. It’s too loosey goosey a situation for us. So if you’re looking for structure and excellent programming this may not be the place for you.
New director Ross needs to be FIRED ASAP. She is unprofessional and runs the daycare off her ego. Not policies from DCF. She then tries to cause problems with parents who has disagreements with her. Even goes as far as calling the cops for wellness checks on kids. She has no business dealing with people's children. No one should be a director of anywhere that is judgmental of children and their families. God please come save this preschool.
There's a new preschool director Mrs. Ross and she is rude, does not follow policies and straight up lied to me and my man's face about our daughter. She is not concerned for the children's well being. And when I asked to speak to her boss, she refused to tell me who her boss was, and that I needed to go find out in the front office of the church. The pastor and the secretary agreed with the director on the situation with my daughter to were she changed my daughter's class with no reasoning or telling me why and won't give me a reason why. They took her away from all her classmates she was with last year. Which I was told she was gonna be moving with them to the next classroom. I would never recommend this daycare to anybody. Especially people that care for their kids, because they do not do what they say and just do what they want. This is supposed to be a preschool of God, but it is not. Update: had a meeting with mrs. ross the director after 5 days of trying to talk to her. After speaking with the pastor secretary and her telling the director to make a meeting with me because she's not professional enough to make a meeting herself. I go to the meeting and she continues to lie about the policy. Proceeds to tell me not to disrespect her employees when they both sit there and lied to me because I tell them to stop lying to me. Spoke with the pastor after her boss and he is co sining on her lies and making excuses for her doing whatever she wants. So just know this place has no professionalism, they do what they want, change policies when they want and lie to your face. Remember, we pay for our kids to go to these places. It's not free, so for them to be unprofessional and lie to the parents faces and then try to go back and tell them that they never said that is unbelievable. This place truly needs God. 🙏
This Grace place Preschool needs to be investigated by Florida department of children and families for not following state requirement for children's classrooms. State requirements for class placement is set for after September 1st. It is completely absurd to do class placements based off children's body sizes.
