What Parents Say
Parents overwhelmingly praise Sunshine Starts for caring, engaged staff who create a nurturing and educational environment where children thrive. Multiple parents report significant improvements in their children's happiness and development. One parent reported being unenrolled due to a scheduling conflict and felt the decision was financially motivated.
Our son has been at Sunshine Starts for about a year and a half. He started at five months old and attends three days a week. Our experience has been nothing short of incredible. We cannot recommend this place enough for any parent looking for a safe, loving, fun and educational experience for their young kid. The center has been accommodating and flexible to our changing needs. The teachers and staff have listened to our concerns and also taught us so much. Any minor issues have been handled swiftly and professionally - this place operates like a well-oiled machine from our perspective. I would love to name drop all of the amazing teachers and staff but the list includes essentially all front desk, infant teachers, toddler teachers, floaters, admin, etc. It's so clear they love kids and we cannot thank them enough.
I have three kids and we had experience from different daycares. Sunshine starts is the best daycare we have ever had. The administration personals are very professional, not to mention the teachers are very loving and helpful! It doesn’t make you feel like they’re just a private childcare service, but as if they are family. They taught him so many different things, from little bugs life cycles, letters, and phonics to celebration of different holidays, crafting and manners! I am truly amazed to see how far he’s come and the vast knowledge he has gained just from learning at this daycare. Everyday my son begged me to let him stay longer inside the daycare when I picked him up. I knew he must have so much fun inside! His little heart is also filled with the love from his teachers. I am so grateful to have found Sunshine Starts for him. Therefore, I strongly recommend this place for anyone who’s interested.
In the 10+ months since enrolling, my toddler has flourished here…She absolutely adores her teachers (so do we). The director and staff have been very welcoming and accommodating. You can tell they care about what they do. The process for entering the facility feels safe and secure. Haven’t had any issues since we started. Thanks for all you do!
My daughter just started at Sunshine Starts about 2 weeks ago (18 months old). We came from a different daycare in the area. All I have to say is wow what a difference I see in my daughter. At the old daycare we were at, she never wanted to go into the classroom at drop off, and when I would pick her up she would be laying in a tunnel by herself, bored. She was cranky when she came home every single day. Now at Sunshine starts, my daughter runs into class smiling, and is engaged more than I could ever imagine. Engagement was always an issue for her at the old school. She is ALWAYS happy now and comes home in the best mood with the biggest smile on her face. Even in the pictures posted daily, she is smiling and laughing. I feel like I have my baby back. This was the best decision we have made and I wish we switched daycares sooner. Jessica and Letitia are great and my daughter has become attached to them already in such a short time.
Both of my boys (1 and 3) have attended Sunshine Starts since they were infants, and we are thrilled with the care they receive, the relationships they've made, and everything they've learned. The teachers are awesome, involved, caring, and feel like extended family at this point. My 3 year old is constantly learning and engaged, while my 1 year old gets lots of attention and snuggles and a safe place to work on his motor skills. I love seeing photos and videos throughout the day of what the boys are doing. Knowing that they are safe, cared for, and having fun while I'm at work makes being away from them SO much easier.
