The Goddard School

Our daughter has been attending the Goddard School of Gainesville–Haymarket for over a year, and we couldn’t be happier with our experience. The sense of community and the nurturing environment truly set this school apart. We interact with the owners, Lisa and Greg, on a daily basis and are continually impressed by how closely involved they are with the school, the students, and the families. The directors and staff are consistently welcoming, attentive, and supportive. Our daughter looks forward to going to school every day to be with her friends and teachers, which speaks volumes about the positive atmosphere they create. Her Preschool 1 teacher, Ms. Rebecca, is exceptional. She brings a wonderful combination of experience, knowledge, and genuine compassion into the classroom. Ms. Rebecca fosters a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment, and we have seen tremendous growth in our daughter over the past few months as a direct result of her dedication. We are truly grateful for the care and education our daughter receives at Goddard.

Working at The Goddard School has truly been a rewarding experience. From the moment I joined the team, I felt welcomed, supported, and valued—not just as an educator, but as a person. The leadership here genuinely cares about both the staff and the students, and that shows in everything from daily communication to the overall atmosphere in the building. The curriculum is thoughtfully designed, giving teachers the freedom to be creative while still providing structure and consistency for the children. I love watching my students grow, explore, and gain confidence each day, and it’s clear that families feel that same sense of trust and partnership. Teamwork is a huge strength at this school. My coworkers are kind, collaborative, and always willing to step in when needed. It truly feels like a family, and I look forward to coming to work every morning knowing I’m part of such a positive environment. Every workplace has ups and downs and I truly believe The Goddard School has overcome some challenges, but has the best administrators, owners, teachers, and children! If you’re a parent looking for a nurturing place for your child—or a teacher looking for a supportive, joyful workplace—I can wholeheartedly say The Goddard School is a wonderful place to be. I’m grateful to be part of this community and couldn’t imagine teaching anywhere else.

Goddard has made an incredible impact on my children. From the moment we joined the school, I could see how much love, structure, and intentional learning go into every day. The teachers here don’t just teach — they nurture, encourage, and help each child grow into their best self. The support and care my children receive make Goddard truly stand out. Twos Classroom: Ms. Mia has such a big heart and an amazing spirit. She communicates openly and always makes me feel confident that my child is loved and cared for. Her positive energy fills the classroom, and it’s clear she truly wants the best for every child. Ms. Diana brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep understanding of what each child needs to grow and thrive. She meets children where they are and helps them reach new milestones with patience and care. I can see how much my daughter enjoys being in her classroom and how much she has learned under her guidance. Ms. Hailey has the sweetest heart and such a gentle way of encouraging confidence and independence. She guides my daughter with kindness, helping her believe in herself and always strive to be her best. Ms. Lauren not only loves my daughter but also has a special place in her heart for every child she works with. Her warmth, positivity, and kindness make a lasting impression. She creates a space where children feel valued, safe, and excited to learn — and that means the world to us as parents. Kindergarten: Ms. Hena and Ms. Lucy have made such an amazing impact on my daughter’s kindergarten experience. They both understand her unique needs and help her grow in ways that go beyond academics — building her confidence, curiosity, and love for learning. Their patience, creativity, and dedication shine through in everything they do. I can truly tell that they want what’s best for my daughter, and it shows in the progress she’s made — not just in her learning, but in her joy, independence, and excitement for school every day. We are so thankful for the Goddard team and for the wonderful teachers who pour so much of their hearts into what they do. The love, care, and dedication they show make a lifelong difference for our children, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Miss Christine is the best thing since sliced bread. She has done so much for my daughter in the short time we've been at this school. My daughter, Zoe, talks about her all the time and looks forward to seeing her each and every day. At her last school she would BEG me not to leave her there. This year, with Miss Christine, she is begging me not to make her LATE to school! Thank you for absolutely everything you do, Christine. You are truly a gem and we are so lucky to have found you!!! ❤️

We have lived in the area for 5 years and have no family around. When we found Goddard for our now 14 month old daughter, we knew there was a blessing behind it. The care and attention to our daughter and her development is unmatched. We are proud to have her attend Goddard and will continue to do so until she moves to public school.
