My kids love going to Goddard! The staff is super organized, attentive to my kids needs, and they are great at communication. The staff is also very kind. Their curriculum is great- I feel like my oldest will do well with the kindergarten transition because of Goddard. I also want to add how safe I feel when I drop off my kids. Nothing but amazing things to say!
My wife and I feel very comfortable leaving our children with the staff at Goddard. Our children actually enjoy going to school there. The teachers make them feel so welcomed. And if anything less than great care is observed, they have been quick to listen, respond, and adjust accordingly.
Everyone I have encountered during my daughter's time at Goddard has been genuinely caring and kind. The staff goes out of their way to ensure children are comfortable and safe. There isn't a lot of turn-around in staff, and they know all the children by name! I have been so impressed and am so grateful for my daughter's continued opportunities to grow and learn at Goddard.
Goddard has been a safe, nurturing environment for my children. There is very little turnover in teachers, which provides for a reliable and consistent place to learn. Our years at Goddard are coming to an end as my youngest is preparing to start Kindergarten, which she is more than ready for thanks to the incredible teachers and staff at Goddard. I could not recommend this facility more highly.
My two daughters attended Goddard from 2020 to 2022, and overall, our family had a mixed experience that varied significantly depending on the child and the classroom. Our older daughter, who was in the pre-K program, had a wonderful experience. She is naturally calm, observant, and quiet, and we found that the environment was a great fit for her personality and developmental stage. Her teachers were kind, engaged, and provided a nurturing learning experience that we genuinely appreciated. Our younger daughter, who was between the ages of 1 and 3 while attending, had a more challenging experience. She is a highly active, engaged child who was also dealing with chronic ear infections due to a congenital condition. Unfortunately, not all of her teachers were equipped to meet her needs. We had concerns in two of the three classrooms she was placed in. The most serious concern occurred when I arrived early for pick-up one day and witnessed a long-tenured teacher handling my daughter physically in a way I found completely unacceptable. I immediately reported the incident to both the assistant director and the director, who took action and moved her to a different classroom. While I appreciated their responsiveness, the experience was distressing and significantly impacted our trust. In the subsequent classroom, my daughter continued to struggle, and I believe part of this was due to a mismatch between her energy level and the teacher’s capacity, particularly as the teacher had limited mobility. It felt, at times, like some teachers were not fully engaged or willing to adapt to a more active child who did not have any developmental concerns or diagnoses, just a different temperament than her older sister. The final classroom she was in made a huge difference. She had two incredibly hands-on, attentive teachers who truly connected with her, and she absolutely thrived. I only wish that had been our experience from the beginning. In summary, Goddard offers some strong programs and caring educators, but consistency in staff quality and responsiveness to different children’s needs varied greatly in our experience. If your child is more laid-back, they may do well here. But if your child is more active or high-energy, I would recommend checking in frequently and being an advocate to ensure their needs are being fully met.
