What Parents Say
THE FRIENDSHIP CO CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL receives mixed reviews with most parents praising the caring staff, structured curriculum, and communication via Brightwheel app. However, some parents report significant concerns about staff disengagement, lack of personal interaction, and harsh discipline practices, particularly following recent director and staff changes.
Our 2 boys have been at the friendship company for close to a year a this point and we have had nothing but good experiences. The staff is very helpful. Our children are well taken care of and learning lots of good things. They have also been very patient with my 2 year old who has struggled with some of the transitions. They offer very flexible schedules which helps with our work schedules.
We have had a really good experience at the Friendship Company! We started there 3.5 years ago with my oldest and her sister joined her when she was born in 2023. We had been in in-home daycares previously and the difference is night and day. It is more organized with activities and curriculum (I love seeing their art projects and worksheets come home!), and I am able to keep in constant contact with the staff via their use of the Brightwheel app. Depending on the teachers, you get pictures or updates throughout the day, which is always helpful to ease my anxious momma mind. My oldest also just started Kindergarten, and is thriving after the pre-K curriculum here. While there has been some teacher turnover in the past few years, which isn't always ideal, I think that is just the nature of staffing in the world these days. When we did have issues with some newer staff, the director was happy to listen to our feedback and ensure changes were implemented.
The Friendship Company has been such a wonderful place for us! We had been on the waitlist for a long time prior to starting at our other center and were so happy they had an opening for us when the other closed down and made our transition so easy! All the staff are wonderful and really get to know the kiddos (and families) on a personal level! Very grateful to have a place where we feel comfortable and at ease!
We loved having our kids at Friendship Company! The staff is very loving and caring, they serve balanced, healthy lunches, and our kids learned so much. Our oldest was more than ready, fully prepared for kindergarten thanks to them. Highly recommend.
My son went here for over two years. It really started to go downhill after the old director left. There’s high turnover among the staff. Most of the teachers there now don’t seem to interact with the kids, they just sit around on their phones and “watch” them play. There’s been several times I’ve heard teachers screaming and yelling at kids. Instead of helping my son when he was transitioning out of naps, they constantly called me and complained that he had behavioral issues. It’s not fair to expect a 3-4 year old to lay down for 2 hours straight and then scream at them when they move off their cot. We pulled him out after one of the teachers actually said “he’s being a little” in a voicemail and then stopped herself from finishing the sentence. He’s been at a new daycare for a couple weeks now and it’s a night and day difference. He’s eating better, having fun, and he can actually tell me what he’s doing throughout the day unlike before.
