The Discovery Place

We have had our son at Discovery Place since he was a newborn. 3 years later, and we are still so happy with our choice of care for him. The teachers are amazing and I know our little one is well taken care of each day. Highly recommend Discovery Place!!

The choice of a daycare provider isn't always easy. After meeting with the staff at Discovery Place, it was for our family. We've been a Discovery Place family for four years, with two children who have flourished during their time there. The staff is caring, the environment is safe and conducive to learning, and our oldest child was more than ready for kindergarten after she graduated from Discovery Place. It's a great place that really cares about children and their families.

After much comparison, I chose Discovery Place in 2004 to care for my 3 month old. Although child care centers typically cost more than in-home care providers, having steady dependable child care with standard operating hours outweighed the cost savings for us. I am so pleased and impressed with Discovery Place. Very quickly I witnessed the caring teachers help my infant get in a routine schedule and really love my child. I did not hesitate to send our second child to Discovery Place as my oldest went off to kindergarten. Over the months and years, I have watched my children grown and learn while attending Discovery Place. Outside of the center, I would be amazed at all of the things that my kids would say about the earth, nature, sun, moon, animals, etc. that hey had leaned at Discovery Place. I equally love how the children are taught to respect others and have good manners. DP offers an excellent program that is administered by the most qualified director and staff. Speaking of the staff, I truly believe the Discovery Place staff are what sets this child care center apart from every facility in the Jefferson City area. Decades and decades of combined experience and one of the few places in which many of the staff have worked at Discovery Place for 10-15+ years. This should say more to a parent than almost anything! The staff is the key to a successful child care center! Discovery Place teachers provide an awesome teaching and loving atmosphere for kids to develop and grow. Don't be fooled by other child care centers in the area. The DP core curriculum and staff provide a safe, consistent, and loving learning environment. I would encourage every perspective family to visit Discovery Place and see for themselves. The teachers, the children, and the dozens of satisfied families make Discovery Place really stand out and worth every dime!

The staff has always been wonderful. Both my boys have loved their time here. My oldest is in kindergarten this year and the preparation he received while at Discovery Place was fantastic. He is excelling in the school setting and we have Discovery Place to thank for that.

I've sent each of my children to Discovery Place from the time the were babies until they left for kindergarten. The staff is almost family at this point. Each of my kids were overprepared for starting kindergarten. I can not recommend Discovery Place highly enough.
