What Parents Say
The Connection receives overwhelmingly positive feedback for its after-school program, gymnastics classes, and diverse offerings including swimming, dance, yoga, and ESL instruction. Parents praise the warm, friendly staff, clean facilities, and strong sense of community. One parent expressed frustration with the inflexible makeup class policy despite the program's high cost.
I’ve been bringing my child for gymnastics classes for a while, and while the coaches are generally friendly and the facility is decent, I’m really disappointed with their policy around missed classes. Life happens - kids get sick, school events pop up, families travel, and most reputable programs offer at least a limited number of makeup sessions. Here, there are none, and that lack of flexibility feels unreasonable, especially given the cost of the program.
Very family friendly environment. The staff are warm and friendly, and the facilities are clean. The class offerings from yoga to Zumba to gymnastics to dance to swimming to ESL and kids programs are great. I go at least 5 days a week I have been a member for over 10 years. It is by far the best value for the money. The name, The Connection, lives up to its name, as I have met so many wonderful people there throughout the years.
Utterly shameful process for dealing with registering for swimming classes. At this point, one can only assume they intentionally keep the process as draconian, arcane and stupid to prevent people from joining. The geniuses who run this place are, I assume, fully grown adult human beings choose to do this intentionally. You may make your own assumptions about them based on this information.
A mixed review: many staff are nice and caring people who are pleasant to work with, such as the pool lifeguards and the weight room training staff. A problem is parking: there are a limited number of spots, and so users can not combine errands, such as using the facilities and then, say, visiting the Summit library. They will tow your car in a jiffy if that happens.
We have a very bad experience with them, my son used to swim very well but after moving from California everything changed for him. At the first session of swimming lesson he started crying instead of understanding him the teachers pushed him back to the little kids class after second session I was told please don't bring him. The teachers are not well behaved and understanding. I do not recommend this place.
