We love everything about YSA! Our son is thriving and learning so much. He loves his teachers, and we love all of the staff. Everyone is so friendly, and it is obvious they care very much about all the little ones. Highly recommend if you are looking for an incredible daycare.
My son went to Young Scholars for 2 years before entering kindergarten. He is now ahead of most of his class in reading and math thanks to the teachers at YSA. The staff was always attentive, supportive and friendly and on the very rare occasion there was an issue they handled it with the upmost professionalism. Thank you to their entire staff for taking such good care of my kid.
This was our first summer at Young Scholars and it did not disappoint!! The teachers and staff were absolutely wonderful! It was a treat walking in every morning and being greeted with such enthusiasm and fun! My kiddo really felt like he belonged. The curriculum and activities were absolutely wonderful too. The kids were always learning new things and taking awesome fieldtrips to help support their learning. This is truly a wonderful program. We will definitely return next summer!!
As a parent, a friend, and a legal advocate, I am writing this review about Young Scholars Academy based on an experience that occurred today. I am sitting beside a close friend who had to seek medical treatment immediately after a phone call with your staff. My friend is terminally ill, disabled, and lives on Social Security. She called to discuss and pay an old balance from over 12 years ago that she had only recently learned about, trying to responsibly resolve the matter so her family would not be burdened after her passing. Instead, she was met with verbal hostility from a staff member named Jordan. She clearly identified herself as disabled, part of a protected class under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), and requested the center director’s contact information multiple times. Those requests were denied. When ADA protections and federal rights were referenced, hostility escalated rather than de-escalated. This constitutes potential retaliation for asserting protected rights under 42 U.S.C. §12203 and failure to provide reasonable accommodation as required under ADA Title III governing public accommodations, including childcare facilities. Despite suffering post-stroke neurological complications, my friend remained calm, respectful, and composed throughout the exchange. If she was capable of that under those circumstances, your staff should be capable of basic professionalism. I listened to this call using her medically approved accessibility device, and what I witnessed raises serious concerns regarding disability discrimination, failure to ensure effective communication under 28 CFR §36.303, and lack of staff training in ADA compliance. These are just concerns that we trust you will correct with staff education and training immediately. Based on this experience alone, I would strongly caution any parent — particularly those with children who have disabilities — to think carefully before enrolling here. No one attempting to resolve a financial issue in good faith should leave harmed, destabilized, or treated as disposable. And after reading responses left by this business toward other parents, the passive-aggressive shaming of stressed, working families is gross. Parents — there are better options than this.
My son has been attending YSA for more than four years and we are very impressed with the teachers and admin staff there. My son has many different kinds of allergies and they accommodated his needs and have been very patient. He loves every one of his teachers there and enjoys the classes. The admin is very responsive and answers questions quickly. Highly recommended!
