We couldn’t be happier with Little Stars. Our 2 kids go there and they love it. The school does a wonderful job with a wide range of activities, healthy food, and a nurturing environment. We were worried about daycare as we had a nanny for several years, but were so happy with Little Stars and highly recommend it.
My daughter started at Little Stars Learning Center in September 2021. She was born with some significant health problems and I had huge anxiety over sending her to daycare. The staff (teachers, administration and owners) all made it a point to become educated on my daughter’s conditions and were also willing to accommodate when we had specific needs. Little Stars is where she took her first steps, has learned Spanish & ASL, where she has developed friendships that I can only hope will last forever and developed into the best version of herself. I cannot say enough about the curriculum based education which I know will prepare her for Kindergarten and beyond. She has far surpassed our expectations and I am truly confident she is where she is today because of the care she has received.
All three of my children have gone to Little Stars Learning Center, and I can’t say enough good things! The school is very structured, family-oriented, and the communication is excellent. The curriculum is always age-appropriate and educational, but the kids still have so much fun. I highly recommend Little Stars to any family looking for quality care and learning.
I was so nervous. It was my last baby. It took some adjusting but now I’m loving it! Yes, staff does changeover a bit but the people they have there do care and I feel totally comfortable talking to them about anything. They are reliable and I can check in whenever. I get pics all the time which makes my day. My daughter and I go through the pics each evening and she tells me her friends names and what they were doing. They stay super busy (my kids loves busy lol). So it depends on your kid if this place will work honestly. We struggled hard initially with the transition, but they always had someone around to give her a hug and a smile and embrace her so she felt comfortable. Now it’s way easier and she enjoys her day.
Two of my kids attended Little Stars. During that time, the operations of the daycare center were chaotic, the teacher turn over rate was endemic and the level of care was mediocre at best. I really struggled with the administrative team, including the owners. At least at least two times per week, I was asked to wait with my child because their classroom was out of ratio. That is a purely operational problem and should not be the job of the parents to supplement the appropriate staffing levels. Additionally, many staff members were grossly under qualified to work in a child care setting. There was one incident in particular where a staff member was on a phone call, screaming expletives in front of a group of terrified children. I notified the administration immediately, yet there was never any follow up or recourse. There were also instances where I observed teachers, allowing toddler age children to watch TV shows on a tablet. Every teacher who has gone on to leave, Little Stars hasn’t had nothing but negative things to say about their experience. The center is also part of an ongoing lawsuit that alleges abuse on behalf of a staff member at their Plymouth location. Certainly, this is just my opinion and my experience, but I would not be comfortable sending my child here no matter how good their hours or our schedule is, which quite frankly is the only positive.
