My daughter has been attending The Barrington School of Hilliard since she was 18 months (now 4). We cannot say enough great things about Barrington! From day 1, we have felt welcomed and reassured that our daughter was in a safe and caring environment. The staff is incredibly caring, kind, and attentive. The school is very clean, well-organized, and all the activities are engaging and educational. The communication through the app from her teacher and the admin team is wonderful, ensuring we are always "In the know" and providing us a peace of mind. We love that Barrington is committed to serving fresh, organic meals. Knowing our child is eating nutritious, high-quality food is comforting. We could not be more grateful for everything Barrington has done for our daughter!
Went for a tour and it was a m e s s. Everything was everywhere on the desk, food, I had to move things to clear the space. The director was coughing in my face. You have to walk through the toddlers to get to the infants. If I had a 12 week old I would not want that — your baby will DEFINITELY get sick with toddler germs right there. Got unsustainable vibes, not an educational one.
Barrington is our first daycare for an infant. I was so nervous to leave a 6 month old baby with "strangers", but the teachers at Barrington have completely relieved that anxiety. All my questions are addressed with no judgement, and everyone is so polite and calming. I'm absolutely positive that our daughter has overcome her developmental delays because of the consistent and effective methods the teachers implement every day. I could not have done it on my own, and they deserve so much credit. I love that I only need to bring my daughter (and bottles when she was formula fed) every day. No panic about forgetting diapers or wipes or snacks or whatever else other centers have parents provide. That is so valuable when mornings are a scramble to get everyone clean and dressed and out the door. Even more importantly, our girl (now 10 months into care) just loves it there. She's a very reserved girl in public, but she gets so excited when we get out of the car for drop offs in the morning. I cannot overstate how much peace it gives me to be able to work during the day knowing she is safe and loved.
Our son started here in May as an infant and our daughter will go here when she is born in a few months. I can't say enough good things about the staff and our experience with them! He is served a variety of healthy meals, is always participating in engaging activities and the communication and care with the staff is wonderful. Not to mention there are plenty of activities that include the parents to participate, which I personally love. When I show up to pick up my son, he is always happily playing and instead of rushing to me to leave, he invites me to come play whatever activity he is doing at the moment. He also smiles when we approach the entrance and when he goes to his teachers at drop off. We are so happy to have them as part of our village in raising our children.
My daughter has been attending Barrington for a little over 2 years now and we have had the BEST experience! She has become so social & truly enjoys going to school every morning. Huge bonus for providing organic meals and extra curricular activities!!
