What Parents Say
The Ark appears to be a free medical clinic, not a daycare center. Reviews are mixed, with parents praising the medical staff's helpfulness and efficiency, but citing significant concerns about front desk/receptionist rudeness, phone accessibility issues, and reported privacy and sensitivity problems, particularly regarding LGBTQ patient care.
I had a very disappointing experience at this clinic. The staff were unhelpful and unfriendly, and I did not feel supported as an LGBTQ patient. The front desk staff showed little regard for patient privacy — personal information was discussed loudly across the room rather than handled discreetly, which felt uncomfortable and inappropriate. The nursing staff also appeared to lack understanding of LGBTQ sexual health needs and showed little compassion. I felt dismissed when asking questions and, at times, felt like I had to explain very basic concepts myself. If you are seeking informed guidance, sensitivity, and support as an LGBTQ individual, I would not recommend this clinic. There are other clinics that are far more knowledgeable, respectful, and affirming.
I usually have positive experiences but the other reviewers are right about them not picking up the phone. I called half an hour before the advertised close time and got put on hold. They ignored every other call after that. The medical staff has always been lovely during my visits. Always. They take me seriously and that's something I wish more doctors could do.
The guy at the front desk is very rude for no reason which seems unnecessary considering the circumstances one would be visiting for. The medical staff is ridiculously nice though, they’re honestly great. Once you get past that guy at the front it’s smooth sailing but he honestly needs to get over himself lol
I can't find them enough stars. Everyone was so helpful and kind to me. They where fast too, I was in and out in less time than I thought.
Rude receptionist. Simple common courtesy would be much appreciated. Older woman who I guess isn’t accountable for losing her job.
