This is hands down the best Childcare center in Columbus!!! From the attention of the caregivers to the Administration all around love and compassion. Not to mention the direction they take in making sure your little is prepared for kindergarten! I'm a twin mom so life is already hectic with two boys and this center has transformed my son's life and attitude towards himself. After 4 years of being nonverbal now after 6 months he's talking ❤️
My experience at Tender Year Learning Center has been phenomenal! I wanted my daughter to attend a center (school) where she actually learns and interacts with peers, and that’s exactly what I have found! I have watched her grow so much at the center that it makes me excited to see how she will do when she exits into big girl school. TYLC works with my daughter on levels that I wouldn’t think to tackle at her age. The environment is clean. Kid friendly. And safe. My daughter enjoys the many age appropriate projects and field trips throughout the year. She actually enjoys going to school throughout the week which is a plus at her age. She also has advanced in her level of knowledge when it comes to her vocabulary and verbal communication in general. The environment is professional and the teachers have stability. Communication with the center is outstanding. Safety, positive atmosphere and great academic programs were all at the top of my list when finding my daughter a school. Let’s say the center has exceeded my expectations!
My son has been at this center for almost two years now. We have had nothing less than an amazing experience. I originally had concerns with my son that I brought to the attention of the director and staff regarding his speech and hearing. Within the first two weeks of being at the center the director gave me a recommendation to a program to assist my son. She knew in such a short time that my son needed additional assistance, this can only be done with experience in teaching. My sons infant teacher was Ms Karen who was awesome she catered to the kids learning by making it centered around what the children were interested in. My son now has Ms Marlynn who has a wealth of knowledge teaching children. My son not only is communicating but expressing his feelings verbally and moving on to sight words at 3!! The center is awesome and the teachers are caring and responsible. I’m glad we found TYLC.
I love Tender Years Learning Center! Deidre White and her staff do an amazing job introducing young children to a love of learning. My son started with TYLC at 9 months attending through PreK and my daughter started at 6 weeks and will do the same. TYLC is now part of our extended family and we are so grateful. I encourage everyone to check them out.
I have three children that attended this childcare center for a period of 2 years. It was a very positive and refreshing experience. You get the feeling as a parent that the staff really actually love to be around children and it shows with their personal engagement with each child. Parents know what I am talking about - the environment is warm and friendly. Each child is greeted by the class upon arrival in the morning. Manners are taught to children in a friendly way by example by the staff. Regarding academics, each class is broken up by age group. There's an infants room, a toddler room, and an older kids room (pre-k). All classes have daily lesson plans and learning lessons. In the baby/infant room it's more sensory play, art, mat-time, etc. At the time, in the toddler room, my two-year old son would even have homework lessons (very simple lessons), which was very impressive. He learned so much there so quickly. Regarding activities, all of the children have a "graduation ceremony" when it is time for them to transition to the next class level. The ceremony is complete with caps and gowns, with family and friends in attendance! The owner and staff are very creative with all of the lesson planning and activities for the kids. In addition, they have family cookouts in the summer time, go on field trips, and have daily playing time outside in fenced in area. I would highly recommend (and in fact have recommended a few people) to this childcare center.
