Temple Sinai of Hollywood has truly become my spiritual home. From my very first visit, I was welcomed with warmth and kindness by the entire community. Everyone makes you feel like family, and that sense of belonging is something very special. Rabbi Goldenholtz is an incredible teacher and guide. He’s patient, approachable, and genuinely cares about your spiritual growth. He personally taught me how to read Hebrew and is always available to answer any questions or offer guidance whenever I need it. His teachings are not only meaningful but deeply inspiring. I feel so privileged to be part of such a welcoming and supportive congregation. If you’re looking for a community where you can learn, grow, and feel at home, I highly recommend visiting Temple Sinai of Hollywood. It’s a place where faith, learning, and connection truly come alive.
Very laid-back, much more casual than nearby congregations. No fashion show. No culture of gossip. Just warmth. The congregation is what makes Temple Sinai such a wonderful place to be. Everyone is welcoming and kind. There's a lot of emphasis on participation during prayer services: nearly everything is congregant-led. Men and women can perform pretty much any role, from Adon Olam on Shabbat to reading Torah on Yom Kippur. What can I say? It's just feels like home.
I have been coming to this shul since I was a little girl. Bat mitzvahs, wedding, holidays and Shabbats are magical here. I always feel so welcome and now that I have a kid, we love the early childhood program that gets woven into services. All around amazing synagogue that fulfills being with a community of Jews, a spiritual outlet and connection to a higher purpose. Rabbi Goldenholz is a phenomenal spiritual leader and a great thinker. His sermons are a true highlight. Shalom!
My wife. and I have been members. for several decades and find the synagogue warm, kind and both spiritually and intellectually engaging. If your new to the area, or just shul shopping, stop by for any of the programs, events and certainly Shabbat services. I think you'll find a welcoming community of very nice and non-judgmental people.
We had our daughter’s baby naming here and we are so happy! The congregation was welcoming and kind and the rabbi made us feel so comfortable. What a beautiful day, so glad we could share with temple Sinai!
