Sunshine is a wonderful daycare and preschool! It is a small center so you get to know all of the teachers and kids. All of their staff do a great job at keeping your child feeling safe and loved, and providing a great education. We love that they also provide healthy meals (breakfast, lunch, and an afternoon snack) so that you do not have to worry about packing their lunch each day. I would highly recommend this childcare center to anyone who is looking for a close knit, loving environment for their kids!
Review update 2024 - high marks for Miss Sandra! My son who attended the preschool/daycare was reading by the time he entered kindergarten. The credit for this goes to Miss Sandra, who was so patient and spent the time to make sure all kids had early literacy skills. When my son started kindergarten, he scored a 90 on the early literacy assessment. His kindergarten teacher said normal scores are around 40. I credit Miss Sandra with his reading skills! We love Sunshine! Two of my kids have attended Sunshine - one in the preschool/daycare and one in the after school program. The teachers are loving and consistent, and from diverse backgrounds. We also enjoy the many cultures that are represented at Sunshine. The staff share the love of Jesus every day. Highly recommend Sunshine!!!
We have been part of the Sunshine community for almost 4 years, and I’m so grateful for the care both of my children have received! My daughter started out in the Preschool program at age 3 1/2, and continues to attend the School Age children’s program during the summer. My son also started the program prior to turning 4, and he will attend until he goes to Kindergarten next fall. My daughter attended other programs before we found Sunshine. The attention and care my children have each received as individuals is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. The communication with staff and teachers is open and easy. I get regular updates on how they’re doing, which makes my day so much better knowing how much they enjoy being at Sunshine. The community is diverse, and there are many opportunities for growth, development, and to encourage respect for one another. The Kindergarten-preparedness program is strong and well-developed. We found Sunshine through a referral from a coworker, and I’m so glad we followed through! I couldn’t imagine my children being anywhere else!
Love at first tour! I wanted a safe place for my child to socialize and grow. What really drew me in was that they are not number oriented. I love that they genuinely care about my child’s well-being as well as my own. I love the parent night outs when my husband and I cannot find a sitter and just need time for ourselves. This place is very clean, which is very important to me. Overall this place is such a blessing and I would definitely recommend
Our children have been attending Sunshine programs in succession for almost nine years. They were recommended to us by two completely different (in every way imaginable) families and therein lies one of their many strengths - a mission and purpose that goes at lot farther than “keep your tiny human reasonably safe while you’re at work” and embraces all who come as they are with grace and respect and joy. It will be a sad day for our entire family when our littlest little ages out of their programming.
