Sunshine Montessori

Our son attended Sunshine Montessori for 3 years and I can’t say enough positive things about this school. We started here during covid and stayed until our son started kindergarten recently. There is very little turnover, the school is clean, the teachers are fabulous and the owners are wonderful too. We feel that our son entered kindergarten with an advantage (his teachers have told us he is so smart!) and we credit this to Sunshine. It was wonderful having a safe place to drop off our son throughout the pandemic while we adjusted to working from home. We wish our son could have stayed! We miss Ms. Naomi who was his teacher. Thank you Sunshine Montessori for giving our son a great head start, we are forever grateful.

My daughter went to the Sunshine Montessori and we loved the experience. They provided a safe environment for my daughter and an outstanding quality of education. I was impressed to see how quickly my daughter learned things in comparison with the previous day cares we used. The time studying at Montessori helped my daughter with a great foundation to start the first grade at a higher level. I highly recommend the Sunshine Montessori to all my friends with kids.

This is the best school for my son. After changing him from a school he had been to for several years, he went to two different schools this year which did not work out. Then I found Sunshine Montessori. Thanks to this school, my child has become a busy boy who does not want to leave school when I go to pick him up. This is a flexible school with teachers who let the kids be kids, read and play. The facilities and toys are highly educational. Children are from every continent. The administration is low key, easygoing. flexible and helpful. There are no slogans here, just good teaching. My son has found a warm community of little friends and wonderful teachers. I am deeply thankful.

Sunshine staff is warm, kind and thoughtful with the children. The facilities are clean and the outdoor area is awesome and large! This was our son's first daycare experience. It was a safe, inclusive and good experience all around.

Our very active boys both attended Sunshine Montessori from age 3 to 6 and age 2 to 6. The calm, focused environment was very good for them. There is a very steady culture of caring for the children and their education which stems from the owners, who are quite skilled in their own right. Many teachers have been there for years. This is more of a learning preschool but the work is really play to the children, in the typical Montessori style. They are quite proud of learning to spell, to read, to write numbers and to add and subtract. There are a variety of materials to teach concepts as well as many kind and talented teachers. It is not a wild, run around screaming kind of environment (though there is a lovely large playground out back where plenty of play happens). It is also not the kind of environment where you get a written report each day. When you are new that can leave you wondering about what happens during the day. The best solution we found is to meet with the teachers once in awhile, or stop in and see or pick up kids at different times of the day, and talk to other parents. This high quality school does not "toot their horn" much but it is a true jewel.
