Sunshine House - Loma Vista Kid Zone

Caring teachers bring back the community feel to raising children. Even on days my son does not go to Sunshine House and we are running late to pick him up, the staff has always been accommodating allowing him to use their phone to contact us. They are his go to people even after reminding him to go to the office, I get the sense that he feels more comfortable with his teachers at Sunshine House. Great program and wonderful staff makes Sunshine House a great fit for our family.

I have twin daughters currently attending Sunshine House and they couldn't be happier! On the way home from school, they like to talk about what they did that day at school. They talk about science experiments, math, art, playing at the playground, making new friends, how much they love their teachers and much more! Sending my children to the Sunshine House was the best decision I could have made. On top of all that, they are both Kindergarten ready! I would recommend Sunshine House in a heartbeat!

We love Sunshine House because they care about our daughter. She loves being there and loves all the teachers. I love that they do homework after school and also provide very healthy snacks. My daughter has a snack before I pick her up just after 5pm and it holds her over long enough for me to make dinner! Sunshine house has great activities for the kids. My daughter loves playing on the playground and also when they do experiments/science activities. Sunshine House gives me peace of mind. I know my daughter is well taken care of there and supported in whatever she is doing. They are priceless and very much appreciated. Best thing I've ever done is enrolled my daughter at Sunshine House.

We started our experience with Sunshine House on Walnut Blvd and absolutely fell in love with the teachers and program. When it came time for our girls to start transitional kindergarten, we were thrilled to see Sunshine House offered a before and after school program right there on campus. There is so much activity and variety, the children are never bored. The teachers take time to sit with the kids to help with homework and really strive to make the environment a fun and playful one. Ms. Cheryl and Ms. Keri are two of the most patient women I have ever met and we are lucky to have them helping to guide our children while at the Sunshine House. Thank you to all of the teachers at Sunshine House for your never ending dedication.

As an educator working with children of all ages, Sunshine House kid zone has a friendly, warm and loving environment for children and families to feel safe about attending the center. The teachers at Sunshine house are very educated and work well together as a great team to provide for the children of Loma Vista. During the school year, Sunshine House teachers sit down with all children to do their homework and further teach them in that subject they have questions about. Every day at this center, there is a group time where children come together and do an activity that the teacher has planned. These activities usually consist of science experiments, arts and crafts (fine motor) and cooking (math.) While the children are on school breaks Sunshine house plans many field trips locally and in walking distance to learn outside of the classroom. I believe Sunshine house is a very fun and engaging place for children of all ages. The children who attend never seem to get bored because there is so much to do at all times. I highly recommend Sunshine house for any family who needs after school care.
