Sunshine House

From the moment I walked into Sunshine House Little Elm, I knew it was the right place for my daughter. The bright colors, rainbows, live plants and cozy schoolhouse cottage feel stood in such stark contrast to the rigid, dull daycare I had visited earlier that day. When I was on the hunt for daycare and trying to figure out Pre-K with Little Elm ISD, which we didn’t qualify for, a woman helping me there recommended Sunshine House Little Elm. She told me her own daughter had attended and that they had the best experience. After our time here, I can see exactly why this school is so highly recommended in the community. As a COVID baby with no prior formal daycare experience, my 5 year old daughter needed a place where she could feel safe, supported, and inspired, and Sunshine House Little Elm became that place. I specifically chose this school for its curriculum that values creative and critical thinking over the rigid, drill-and-memorize approach that leaves little room for creativity. Here, children aren’t just taught to “stay inside the lines,” but to create their own. The focus on emotional intelligence and community values has been just as important as the academic preparation. Since starting in January 2025, my daughter has gained all the skills she needs to enter kindergarten with confidence. The teachers and staff here are truly exceptional. Ms. Faren, the director, is a model of professionalism and leadership. She has a deep passion for early childhood development and an unwavering commitment to education that shows in everything she does. Under her guidance, the team at Sunshine House Little Elm shines. Ms. MJ, my daughter’s very first teacher, welcomed her so warmly and was endlessly patient as my daughter adjusted to a new routine. My daughter has learned so much from her academically, she has built a strong foundation in early literacy, math, and problem-solving while also growing socially and emotionally. Ms. May shared an extraordinary bond with her and brought so much joy to her days. Ms. Laura’s kindness and sweetness never went unnoticed, and Deshawn has an incredible gift for connecting with children, especially the older kids, bringing out the best in each of them with patience, humor, and genuine care. and Ms. Kaylee made the evenings before pick-up feel extra special, giving my daughter one-on-one attention that meant so much to her. I felt complete trust in the staff every day, knowing my daughter was in an environment that balanced learning, creativity, and emotional growth. Sunshine House Little Elm wasn’t just a daycare, it was a community that helped shape my daughter’s early years in the best way possible. I couldn't be happier with The Sunshine House. The staff is incredibly caring and attentive, creating a warm and nurturing environment for the kids. My child has learned so much during her years here, from social skills to early literacy. They helped her get ready to start kindergarten. As a single mom, The Sunshine house has been a God send. The activities are engaging and well-planned, giving her the opportunity to grow her creativity and curiosity. Communication with me has been excellent, and I appreciate the updates and feedback. We have been taking our daughter to Sunshine House since June of this year and we looovee this place! As a former daycare employee, I wanted to make sure to find an amazing fit of facility, care, and education for my baby. I can say Sunshine House exceeds all my wants and needs. Maysen loves her teachers so much!

I wouldn't bring my children anywhere else! My infant son is so well taken care of. I love that the teachers actually interact with them and work on different skills rather then just meeting basic needs. Ms. Faren and her team go above and beyond and it truly feels like I am leaving my children with family. Any time I have a question, Ms. Faren always addresses it right away. She keeps me well informed with any special events! My older son has been going here since he was six weeks old and he is now almost 9. Sunshine house has always been like a second home to our boys and I feel like they are apart of our family.

I am so thankful to have found Sunshine House. My son loves it so much and has a new mom having a place that I know I can trust is the most important thing to me. Besides Taking care of my son, they have also helped me grow during this new adventure motherhood. They are always willing to answer any question or concern that I have and every time I go to pick up my son he is always smiling and very happy.
