I called yesterday to see if they had any openings and to my surprise they did!!! I was even more astonished by how fast and efficient they were to be able to get us fully set up to start the next day, only 3 hours after we just finished the tour! We did a quick 3 way call with abc vouchers, where we swiftly got settled on emails and start dates. Then I got my kids Drs to fax over the immunization and we were ready to go! They were very professional, sweet and accommodating to everything we could possibly need. During the tour we even got to meet with each of kids new teachers and they were just as sweet. The class rooms are just a spacious as they are secure! The gave us a personal checklist to make sure we had the right choice of classes and education for our children, have a brochure to cover exactly what your children's curriculum will target to be sure your kids will have the best preparations before starting kindergarten. I put the brochure pictures in the photos as well as the cute checklist they gave us!!! If I could rate this ACADEMY, yes that's right it's an actual ACADEMY!, more than the allotted stars I am given than I definitely would. I have absolute trust and faith in this schools ability to prepare my kids for kindergarten in education, socialization, and safety!!
My daughter has learned so much just within a couple of months and I’m very proud and happy of how advanced she is . Sunshine house definitely provides comfortability for our children .
The lack of communication and being understaffed is very concerning. They are so understaffed I had to leave work because they had to close his classroom that day. Catching the staff in lies and finding out at pick up my son got bit. Staff member told me the managers knew but when speaking with the managers they had no knowledge of it happening. At my son’s age no one should be in his classroom that could bite him. Not only was this student biting my son but other kids to. Constantly having to ask for updates through the app. I had noticed on the app one day nothing was in that my son had anything to eat and it was around 2:00pm. After I messaged about it the manager stated he has been fed and she will put it in the app. There were more bottles put in on the app than what I packed for my son to have that day. My son was in the infant classroom and employees/parents were wearing shoes in the room to pick and drop off. After bringing up my concerns MULTIPLE times I was told that they would enforce it, but people still wore shoes into the room. My son stayed consistently sick and now that I have pulled him from here he has been healthy. For the amount of money you pay here things should be better than what it is.
I do not recommend this school at all they allow parents to be in the class room with the children which is not good because I’ve seen the kids act out because the mother was there. My child first day that he started he was excited he used to go to the big blue marble I decided to let him go to sunshine house because it was closer and better price range but on his first day he was hit in the nose and his nose busted they took pictures on the site that’s how I was notified that something was wrong and he was hit because they did not call me or message me on the site . They did not treat his nose or put a band aid on it or anything. I asked them what happened they act like they didn’t know and wouldn’t let me see the cameras that they have in all the classrooms then they let my child get pushed against a wall and hit in the stomach as well they say another child did it but my son is scared of Mrs . Hailey to death . Screams if he sees her I do not trust them with care of kids because the teachers are always saying they are overwhelmed. I have witness kids getting hit and pushed I took my son out because he has went to big blue marble and when anything happens they call you first and notify you when a situation happen which shows the level of professionalism that they have over the sunshine house. On top of the fact that when anything happens they will show you the footage of what happens in the classroom begin I see all the kids when I drop off and pick up and my child goes there as well but the sunshine house would not let me see the footage of when he was hit in stomach and pushed against the wall everyday he says it was awful school is awful which he has never said before I ask him why he response and says the teachers . Lucky I work from home and the big blue marble has open space now and I enrolled him again because never had this type of experience at any place he has also went to the drop in giggles daycare and never had issues like this.
I originally had a tour with the director who didnt even tell me her name. I learned who she was through the Assistant Reagan i explained my child had a severe milk allergy. The Director Jennie said it was fine and I didn't need to do anything. She didn't even walk me around the daycare. She was very short and not personable. The day my child was supposed to start I was told he couldn't by the Assistant Raegen. I was frustrated and upset but she explained and apologized for the situation. She has been so helpful with trying to get my child started and even answering any concerns I have had. She is SUPER nice and a complete opposite of the other one. Every time I call i ask to speak to her and to her only so I know i will get my questions answered appropriately.
