Sunshine House 52

My child started as an infant The Sunshine House in July of 2024 & we’ve had nothing but a great experience, especially with the new management! You can tell that every staff member cares about each child & they make me feel so reassured that my baby is being cared for every day! Everyone, even the teachers from other rooms, know his name & are excited to see him! This sunshine house is more than a house, it’s a home ❤️

I also agree with the other negative reviews of the Mount Pleasant location. This location is absolutely horrible. My son has come home with unknown injuries and the director and teachers don't inform me about them. I've also witnessed the teachers on their personal phones or having ear buds in their ears not paying attention to the kids. I've found kids in classrooms alone unsupervised. This daycare is the most unprofessional staff I've ever encountered. I will NEVER recommend this daycare to anyone.

My twin boys started coming here Aug 2024 and were instantly welcomed by a warm and friendly staff. Vickie, the director, was excited to give me a tour and I left feeling like I knew exactly what to expect. Not knowing she had just recently taken over management, I felt safe leaving my boys under her care and watch. It was as if she had been there for years, she knew what she was doing! Allie the boys teacher, pays such close attention to my boys and their needs. Weekly I receive an extremely detailed overview of their week and what positive and negative behaviors were displayed. We talk daily about how to enhance their learning experience, tailored to their individual learning styles. She has created a sense of community with all of the students, even buying them a class pet! "Candy corn" the guinea pig , has given the kids a great sense of responsibility. I would recommend the sunshine on long point road to any and every parent I meet. It is a safe place for children to learn and teach their potential!

Wish I could write zero stars but my friend pulled his child from this place a while ago and good thing bc all the “concerns” were just red flags of the treatment by the director and her minions. Sequoiyaa and that older lady at the front desk are always gossiping up there and on the phones. The other one in the older kids room not preschool but before they go to preschool is always talking on earbuds like no one can see you surprise we all see you 👀👀 what kind of place is this where this is who they hire and management gets to play favorites. The kid I know was in the older class before it got closed - people keep leaving that place WONDER WHY and overheard the director also tell another child to shut up. Well news flash older kids can come home and tell us what happens!!!! this kind of thing isn’t tolerated and you have already been reported. Thank God they left months ago who knows what’s still happening here. And no I will not be emailing anyone - y’all take care of your own company and actually hire good people to lead it not people that wanna collect $$$$$ all day and do nothing. Any person with decency would never work here.

My daughter has been going here since she was 4 months old. All of the teachers and staff have been very wonderful. I can tell they truly care for my daughters and in turn she loves them. She is always so happy when we pick her up. I highly recommend the Sunshine House to anyone! I wanted to add that the new leadership has been great. They are truly passionate about all of the kids and have made amazing choices when bringing in new staff. My daughter loves her time here!
