Roughly 3 years ago, my husband's daughter attended this school. For a Halloween Event, we arrived in excitement to enjoy the event along with my 2 year old son. Ms. Amanda told my husband that only one parent was allowed, so my husband walked in with his daughter and my son and I remained in the car. Suddenly, I noticed parents (2) were walking into the school and were let in by Ms. Valerie. My husband confronted the director and assistant director but by this time, the event was over. I didn't speak up as I was 2 months postpartem at the time and felt that maybe I didn't want to overreact. However, this moment enlightened me to become stronger. Thank you, Ms. Amanda, for what I am assuming was your strange bias. I appreciate you taking matters into your own hands by excluding a non biological and half biological family member. Your decision to misinform my husband resulted in affecting my innocent son and myself. We may not be there anymore due to the children no longer being enrolled, but this event impacted me and changed me to be a better advocate and stronger mom/bonus mom. I hope you learn from this and if you have not, may you figure out how to. Blended families can be complicated but when third parties lile yourself enter and are not present for the ups and downs of the dynamic, they should remain netural, especially when ECE strives for family to support young children. May your family or those close to you or yourself never experience this kind of pain. Wishing you well.
My child attended this center for 2 weeks before I asked to not have my child return because he would cry during nap time. Crying!!! Really?? He is 2 years old, in a new environment and adapting to the structure of the program. I am extremely disappointed!! He was loving going to daycare everyday. I was left with no childcare and had to quit my job because they didn't have patience for my 2 yr old. Also the contract stated that the 2yr old class was a 6-1 ratio (6 kids to 1 teacher plus an assistant) but when I would pick up my son during nap time (and yes he would be asleep) there was about 8-9 kids in the class. The director of this center needs to be evaluated cause she clearly does not have patience!
My son is 15 now, but he still remembers this place and the staff, which is awesome. They are great people and teach you well. My son wants to go work next summer with Yolanda the owner, as this place and the people made a big difference in his life.
Special thanks to Ms Valerie, Ms Amanda, Ms Christine, and Ms Anahi for always looking after my child and always keeping me informed of any concerns. This pre-school provides great service, have very kind staff, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to enroll their child at a pre-school.
My son attended this school since he was a toddler. This school makes you and your child feel welcomed since the first day. Staff's teach the students what are the requirements and also beyond many more things. This school cares about the your child !
