If you care about your kids at all, do not send them here! My niece was hurt during school hours, the called mom once (who had no service and didn’t get the ONE call) and nobody else on the emergency list, which was her father. They said “they don’t know the situation with the father” so they don’t call! He’s on the emergency list and has brought and picked up my niece many times! We had to take my niece to the hospital when we picked her up! She sat like this for over an hour with no medical attention or no contact to any emergency contact. Legal action will be taken. How horrible to watch a little girl in this much pain and do nothing!! The picture doesn’t do justice. She had a huge welt on her head! Do not send your kids here and if you do, take them out! These people don’t care about your kids.

My 15 year old attended and now my 4 and 3 year old. My 4 year old needs extra attention and theyve always been so good to all my kids. Give them a try. ❤️

The owner is on another planet first and foremost. Her name is Heather and shes the "director". I have never in my life felt so unwelcomed. This should have been red flag #1. Not only is she controlling, but she talks at you and not with you, which is very frustrating. The 2nd red flag was when Ms. Heather belittled my son on his potty training. She was the only one who complained about my son. I informed her i was on board 100% on getting him on the potty training wagon. I asked his pediatrician what i should do since he was a little behind on grasping it. The Dr told me do not rush my son, he will pick it up when he is ready but still keep introducing it to him. When i gave this info to the director i sensed her hatred for me grew stronger. Yes it sounds crazy but my gut was right about her. The next week she told me my son was doing absolutely horrible and was declining at potty training and i informed her that he actually picked up the pace and has been doing better than before. So that was disappointing to hear someone talk negatively about my child. I was upset. She's very negative and its not even her son to have the right to speak negatively about. Daycares are supposed to understand and be patient on how kids operate. The next day i asked his teacher how his potty training was going and she replied" Great, hes doing better, and no accidents today". I said in my head, i hope god heard that. This is when i knew i had a psychopath on my hands. This woman sits around all day tallying up ways to make peoples lives miserable. The people who need their children taken care of while they go to work to make a living. Who has time for this nonsense? Weeks later, i pick my son up and gave him a bath. I noticed he had a cut on his finger and it was bleeding. he also had what appeared to be bite marks but could have been something else. I was never notified that he was ever hurt, but i will get a paragraph 3x a week on how he looked at another child the wrong way. Ridiculous. I asked my son how he got the cut and he said scissors at daycare. The next morning i told Ms Heather what happened and she looked at me like i was the biggest liar, she looked at me like how dare i tell her this. She had an evil glare at me. she looked at me with hatred. I explained i just want to be told when my son gets hurt. When she was done killing me with her looks, she said "we didn't even have scissors that day". And then she went on to say "i was in the room when they had scissors" blah blah blah. I said, you just said they didn't have scissors. I told her " i'm just asking to be notified when he gets hurt" and she replied she understood, but i really got the impression that she just wanted vengeance. This is why alot of people should not run daycares, this is a perfect example. Don't run a daycare if you don't care about kids and keeping them safe for the parents. DONT DO IT. The next week she kicked my son out. How dare her. Update after writing the review: After an hour of writing the review, me and my husband received several calls and voicemails telling us to come and pick up my son immediately because i wrote a bad review and the owner couldn't handle the criticism. Do not bring your child here, trust me. Save yourself the stress and frustration, as this is below a last resort to bring your child. There is a daycare across the street called Kid City and the owner here is the opposite from Sunshine Academy. They should re-name this daycare to Nightmare Academy.

Truly the best. Brought my son here after he was removed from another daycare because he kept trying to run out of the classroom. This was due to him being undiagnosed with ADHD. Sunshine helped us so much. They kept him safe and helped manage him while we went through getting him diagnosed and medicated. They got him ready for public school as well. Ms. Heather is the best! Great people who actually care and have empathy. Would recommend to anyone.

First- let me say that the director and the staff has always been very nice and receptive to our needs. The turnover is incredibly high but that is to be expected with such low pay. My issue is not with the staff but with “the owners” (as everyone calls them). “The owners” allowed the school to place a placard at the check in podium, advertising part time rates. This prompted me to ask if I could enroll my son part time as I was changing jobs. This was warmly received and there were no issues. After I found out I was expecting, I asked about part time rates for my baby. They didn’t offer infant care at the time so I found alternate childcare while my daughter was an infant. Because I liked the facility and they offered part-time rates I was excited to get to enroll my daughter the one-year-old room. We were informed that if a spot was open come time for my daughter to be enrolled, she would be permitted to attend part time because my son was already enrolled although they discontinued part time rates. My daughter began attending this school on October 3. On February 20 we were notified that we had until the end of the week to either enroll our children full-time or to find alternate childcare as they had families interested in enrolling their children full-time and needed my children’s spot. The owners agreed to give us an additional week to find alternate childcare but I do not feel as if this was an appropriate way to handle a family who had been Enrolled for over two years and never had a late payment. This school views your child as a paycheck. The worst part about this all was that this was done eight days before my son‘s fourth birthday and six months before he would have began pre-k. These are the only other children my children have ever known. You cannot imagine what it was like to explain to my son that he was not permitted to continue to go to the only school and play with the only friends he has ever known.
