I have four children 21 18 4 and 3.. Needless to say I have experience with daycares and this is the oddest one yet...i say the pros and the cons. Pros : extremely close to low income residential areas of 161 so not to far of a drive. Family owned they all work in the center it appears. All female staff. All Muslim so strong on the holidays and they are closed on Muslim holidays I'm American but if your Muslim those holidays are respected and you don't have to worry about the center being upset your kid didn't show up(if they stay open) the mother of the manager is the sweetest realest woman ever.. I just call her mom ☺. They children don't miss a meal and the place stays very clean. Cons: they don't always keep doors locked from the outside they will even stuff a piece of tissue in the door so it doesn't lock so they don't have to get up and open it cause they won't get the door access thing fixed. On the morning they are understaffed so they will shuffle kids all into one room until whoever finally arrives which can make it very confusing for kids to know thr place and perhaps demand to be in one room over the other which causes problems. My children have milk allergies and they wr still giving them milk and my youngest whatever she wants as per the teachers saying they can't tell her no... I had to bring three changes of clothes EVERYDAY AND HOPE I EAS GETTING BACK HER CLOTHES AND NOT SOMEONE ELSE'S! my daughter even came home without a shirt and just a jacket cause they lost my daughters clothes for the 70th time. I sent half a bix of diapers and by Wednesday they said she didn't have any but wr sending her home in some other brand that was to small when she had diapers! But they obviously wr using them on other kids. Now I would of course comment on certain things and even make suggestions to staff hodan the director and such but with such a huge staff of people just use to taking care of kids in home they still just did things thr way. Seeing this place was close as I worked from home and didn't want to have my children feeling tossed around I stuck with it rebuying clothes and doing laundry like crazy cause they will change them all day long even if the clothes are clean it's a hodan policy.. But here was my last straw.. And why I has taken me so long to write this.. the establishment is the moms who I respect and I also respect one of the sisters Ill just refer to her as the one with the cute cheeks.. MY LAST STRAW WAS THIS... MY SON IS VERY ADVANCED and needed a more education based program so with starting a new job I was processing them for Kindercare.... In picking up paperwork during naptime hours I pull up and my 4 year son is behind the desk out front with all the chords and computers which is unsafe. They stayed he wasnt layi ngdown and didn't want him to disrupt the other children. Still it's unsafe! With my three old daughter they will rock her help calm down to nap (favoritism).. I finally had it.. I spoke with hodan and her other sister(not cheeks like I said this family owned and politely explained my concern in the back office first time being back thr. I explained the safety concern and instead of saying I will take that into advisement and address this as a review of the staff person and work policies she stated "what I'm getting is you FEEL your kids are not safe so they don't need to keep comming here" wr as I clearly was saying hey look this happened and woman to woman let's work on this I had her and her sister at me.. So. All the sudden she's handing me my childrens files (which had nothing in them besides enrollment paper which is weird so that means they don't keep daily records of interaction or anything) and telling me they can't come back. How are my children going to take this as I wanted to ease them in the another center they didn't care and I was like should I call a lawyer they said we got lawyers so do it. Needless to say I couldn't make any money for two weeks because I didn't have care because I showed concerns.
