Sunbright Children Center

I’ve been observing this daycare over the past weeks and have several concerns. Classes 2, 3, and 4, along with the older age groups, often show a lack of structure and supervision. There’s frequent hitting and fighting, which should be addressed with stronger classroom management and engagement. The big kids’ side has a larger group, but hygiene still needs improvement. Staff should actively teach and reinforce proper hygiene throughout the day. With more structured routines and consistent oversight, these issues can be resolved. A quality daycare should always follow clear rules: no hitting or rough play, regular handwashing, respectful behavior, supervised play, and daily hygiene routines. The children’s safety and wellbeing should always come first. I haven’t seen any posters or visual materials about hygiene or classroom rules displayed within the facility. There are also no educational posters such as birthdays, numbers, days of the week, or days of the month — which are important for early learning and engagement. Additionally, flyers or notices should be sent out to parents weekly to reinforce hygiene practices and remind families of daycare rules and expectations. We are the teachers — we teach. The students are the learners. It’s our responsibility to guide, teach, and protect them. Our shared priority should always be providing proper care, structure, and education for the younger youth in our community.

I tried three different day care facilities before finding this one. ALL of the other places smelled like dirty diapers, the kids were Always sick and my children would cry and beg me not to leave them there. At Sunbright, my 3 yr old asks "can you drop me off to play with my friends?" My children also, love the food and music class on Tuesday mornings. Ms. Mary does an Excellent job running the place and is always pleasant to talk to. Yesterday, when I dropped my daughter off, she ran to her teacher with open arms. The teachers are always smiling and you can tell they really care about the children. I love this place and I'm really grateful for finding it.

My 1 yr old loves to go as he got used staying there he now walks on his own into his classroom i don't have to carry him in i just walk with him. My 4 yr old daughter always tells her teacher goodbye with a hug same thing to her little friends. And my 7 yr old son likes to go too he loves Ms. Anna saying that is his favorite teacher. I like the staff they always have a smile on and ready to watch the kids. They also do alot of activities with the kids my 4 yr old daughter learned her ABC’s at Sunbright. I recommend this place. Also the older kids get go out for field trips at a low cost. 😊☺️

If I could give this center 0 stars I would ! This center is absolutely horrible and could care less about the children. They are completely in the business for money . My children went here for less than a month. This center is completely unorganized and horribly staffed . Every day it’s a hot mess to find jackets. The children are NEVER in the correct class. The center focuses more on watching TV then educating the kids. My 4 year old who will eat anything was disgusted with the food they would provide. I had my daughter tell me the teacher hit her but they ASSURED me she made this up which wasn’t like her . One of the teachers attempted to fight me as many other teachers held her back in the mix of a bunch of children all because I as a parent expressed my frustration on jackets always being lost which at this point was the deal breaker because the owner let her employee who just cursed me out and tried to fight me me finish out her day and continued to employee this worker . I no longer felt my kids were safe here if they were okay with this behavior.

This is an AMAZING daycare choice! They are always there for us and listen to our concerns and questions. Mary is awesome at her job as Director. She makes each kiddo feel special and cared for. We adore all the teachers in the baby room. They have been so good with all our kiddos.
