5-YEAR UPDATE: We've been at SRELC for over 5 years now and couldn't be happier. The care our children receive here is nothing short of outstanding. Their teachers know them so well and are always so attentive. The director and assistant director are always so professional and helpful, and have been such a Godsend to us these last few years. Having a school that truly cares for our children is such a blessing! ORIGINAL REVIEW: We absolutely LOVE Strong Rock ELC! Mrs. Jana and Mrs. Patti are fantastic teachers, Molly is always so sweet when we walk in, and Sandy and Heather are amazing! We are incredibly grateful for such a great place for our baby with some truly wonderful people. I know she is always in good hands when she's there! Thank you for all you do!

Thought it would be time for an update. Six years later on; we still have three kids attending, but the oldest is now a senior. We still LOVE this school. We love the kids. We love the parents. We love the faculty and staff. This is truly a special place. Our children have flourished here and grown to be better young men than they might otherwise have been. The philosophy of partnering with parents to educate the kids is spot on in my opinion and sets the right tone. If you are considering bringing your children here; please take the time to have a tour and meet folks. I do not think you’ll be disappointed.

From the moment I walked in to tour the facility, I felt like I was home. The Director, Heather, personally gave me a tour of the infant rooms. Here, they split the babies up by developmental stages, which is great when you think about the changing needs of your infant. The staff was engaged and interested in my child, asking pertinent questions and answering the many I had. I had to return to work after having my first child, one I was never supposed to be able to have. So, my anxieties were high, maybe even more than some. They assured me of her care, even emailing me throughout the day so that I knew she was okay. Anytime I've popped in at unexpected times, my daughter was being well cared for! The teachers love on my daughter, and all of the babies, like they were their own. My daughter is always happy to go to school. She's even cried a couple of times to have to leave Ms. Patti! Ms. Janna is so creative and caring with her special projects that keep the parents engaged - she always goes above and beyond to keep up with your requests or questions. The staff here is very warm, and take a genuine interest in the children. I drive 15-20 minutes south to take my child here, instead of taking her somewhere more convenient going northbound on my commute. There's nothing like peace of mind!

ZERO STARS. We were only there 2 days. My 20 month old was physically abused by a teacher (or possibly the director herself) in the toddlers class. When I picked her up she ran to me with tears in her eyes so I asked the teacher if she was like that all day. The teacher lied to me & said she wasn’t. However, we later found out that this wasn’t true. When I took pictures of the bruises and sent them to the director (SANDY WADDELL) to ask what happened, she didn’t respond for HOURS. I followed up & she told me to wait even longer for a response because she was “investigating.” It again took a long time to get a response from her & when I did I was disturbed by what she said. She was extremely rude, acted like she didn’t care about what happened, and said to me, “if you don’t feel comfortable bringing her here then I guess you shouldn’t come back.” She also mentioned that there was no way to prove that it happened there because there aren’t any cameras in the classrooms. I later found out from a former employee that this type of behavior is typical at Strong Rock Early LC. DO NOT PUT YOUR CHILD IN DAYCARE HERE. They will NOT be safe & the director doesn’t care about anyone. UPDATED to add that when I posted a review on the Strong Rock ELC Facebook page, they disabled the review function almost immediately so my review could no longer be seen.

I've visited this facility twice in the past two years to inquire about enrolling my daughter. The first time, she was about 6 months old. My husband and I were given a very short tour and not much information. The lady seemed reluctant to ask or answer any questions that we may have had. She took us back to the front to tell us there was a long waiting list and had us write our name and child's name and age on a post it note. (I'm not sure what type of tracking system this is, but it doesn't seem efficient). As we were leaving, my husband stuck up a conversation with the lady in the parking lot. As they were both laughing, she stopped and asked us, "Did she tell you there is a waiting list?" We said yes. She made a face, told us that she was the director and asked for our names and told us that she would check some things and give us a call. She seemed sincere but never called us. Recently, I went back, told the lady at the front desk that I am inquiring about enrolling my daughter for the fall. She immediately states, we have a waiting list. I replied, you don't even know how old my daughter is. So, she says, how old is she? I reply, Two. She says again, we have a waiting list. Then proceeds to pull out a darn post it note and asks me to write down my info. I asked her if she could give me an estimate of how long the waiting list is. She basically says she doesn't know or can't really tell me. At this point I turned and left and YES my skin is melanated.
