My son has been attending this school for 2 years and they have been nothing but exceptional. In searching for his next school I have toured school's that are considered 'best in state' and strathmoor is doing the same curriculum and has much larger and diverse classrooms for the PreK. The PreK rotates between three large classrooms with different focuses. One is more on dramatic play, one is for circle time and literacy and the other is more math and science. They are not glued to a desk and each room has opportunity for art and creativity. They bring in outside resources, like a behavior specialist, librarian and community helpers to help with their curriculum. They also do fun bonuses like last year they had a petting zoo come or other years Idlewild bug farm came for a visit. They also do a yearly pumpkin patch in the beautiful courtyard and an easter egg hunt. They have a large gym the kids get to play in if there is rain or cold weather where they rotate out different toys. You get daily photos of your child to see what they are doing during the school day and the teachers are experienced and very responsive to questions. Professional development is paid for teachers, so they are always learning something new to serve your child. I can't recommend strathmoor preschool more!
We’ve absolutely loved Strathmoor Preschool for our daughter. She’s grown socially and cognitively in her time there. Excellent staff and teachers. Great communication with daily updates. Amazing facilities and summer camp programs. We are happy to be a part of the Strathmoor family.
Our experience at Strathmoor has been nothing but amazing. The communication with the parents is amazing. I always feel like I know about things happening in the classroom, upcoming events and if an issue arises (which we haven’t had any) it’s addressed very quickly. We receive a newsletter with detailed lesson plans for the coming weeks with what topics and subjects our kids will be learning about. We would highly recommend Strathmoor to any parent looking for a great pre-k school to send their kid(s)
We could not recommend Strathmoor enough! Our daughter is so happy and excited to go to school every morning and the teachers treat her like she is their own. Smaller class sizes has been great and they are really able to customize things to our daughters needs and interests. We love getting daily updates and pictures of what they have been learning that day.
We are finishing our first year with Strathmoor and we couldn’t be happier! Our son LOVES all of the teachers and thoroughly enjoys his time there. He is engaged and learning so many new things, it’s incredible to see his growth. We highly recommend Strathmoor, it is a safe and happy environment for kiddos!
