What Parents Say
Stork Club Rocky Hill receives highly polarized reviews. The majority of parents (6 five-star reviews) praise the center for caring, attentive staff, personalized attention, engaging activities, and a family-owned feel. However, three one-star reviews raise serious concerns about inadequate supervision, improper diaper changes, poor treatment of children with special needs, and lost items.
Check on your kids, the babies aren’t being attended to. Diapers are being left on long periods of time without being changed. They don’t comfort or soothe babies when they cry or are uncomfortable. They don’t feed the babies on correct time schedules or force feed them when they don’t want to. These babies ARE NOT SAFE. trying to look where else i can report this too. The other stork club in Glastonbury has been shut down for a reason! PARENTS BEWARE STAY AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE.
Both of my children have attended the Stork Club for the past 8 months. We could not be happier with their time there. You can tell that the teachers care about the children. They plan activities that are fun and engaging for the kiddos and my kids have learned so much in their time there. When you talk to the teachers and/or management it feels like you are talking to real people instead of a corporation. We LOVE Miss Jen and Miss Kendall and we can tell our son loves and respects Miss Jen as his teacher. He gets excited about the activities she plans and will come home raving about games she has played with him. Our daughter has absolutely adored Miss Leann and was always treated like one of her own while in her room. We could tell she was loved and felt comfortable dropping her off there. Miss Isabel has also been great to our daughter and we can tell she is happy each day when she comes home. As parents all we can hope for when we have to leave our kids with other people is that they are going to care about them and treat them well in our absence. My kids feel so loved and are well cared for at the Stork Club. They have fun and learn a lot as well, and the small feel of the center helps me feel like my kids are going to get what they need while they are there. We are so happy there!
We have a 10 month old, who has been going to Stork Club for about 8 months now - we cannot praise this center enough! Our Likes: - This is a very happy center, right from when we took our first tour it was evident all the kids are loving their time there, this was a factor in our decision to choose Stork Club - The staff as a whole is very competent, they run a well oiled machine and made us feel very comfortable with the prospect of sending our daughter there - My daughter is in Infant 1 with Ms. Susie in the mornings, Ms. Andy in the afternoons. Both teachers are excellent with her, they got to know very quickly what she "likes" and "doesn't like" and are very down-to-earth, easy to talk to and great with giving feedback. As a first time parent, there are a lot of ongoing mysteries with our baby and they are always happy to help - They provide the bibs, utensils AND! Crib sheets! They wash them regularly and change them out. We explored another center in the area who required us to bring in our own and was more expensive overall even with that. - We were pleasantly surprised to find that they consider the babies "on the same level" as the older children. The babies have a curriculum with weekly themes and skills, and are invited/included in all the center's events. I expected the daycare to just provide the basics for my daughter through the day but love how they take it a step beyond and make it like a school for them!
Our daughter has been attending the Stork Club for a month and a half now and we couldn't be happier with the experience so far! The smaller environment really makes us feel like our child matters and isn't just a number like at corporate run/focused daycares. We can feel the love of a family owned and run business and truly enjoy how our daughter is loved by her teacher, Miss Isabel! She comes home with so much art work every week, you can really tell she is having so much fun!!!
We love it here. While looking for daycare for our daughter during the pandemic, they were one of the few places with openings. Our daughter has now been going there since she was 6 months old (now 3). They are learning through play based. Great staff! Always friendly and really care about our daughter. They have become an important part of our support system.
