Stepping Stones Preschool in Los Altos has been an incredibly special place for our family. All four of our children have had the joy of starting here at just 1.5 to 2 years old and continuing through until they’re ready for TK—and every single one of them has absolutely thrived. This school truly feels like family. The staff is incredibly loving, kind, and nurturing. They care deeply about each child and it shows every single day. Our kids come home happy, full of stories, and excited to share what they've learned—which is a testament to the positive, engaging environment the teachers create. Academically and socially, our children have been so well prepared for TK and Kindergarten. The curriculum is thoughtful and comprehensive, blending learning with fun in the best possible way. The school places a strong emphasis on building community, celebrating different holidays and cultural traditions, and teaching kids about the world around them. It’s been so meaningful to see our kids learning about different heritages, countries, and customs in such an inclusive and respectful way. The facility is always clean, tidy, and organized, with a fantastic outdoor play area where the kids can run around, ride bikes, and just be kids. They also go on field trips and host special events throughout the year that create lasting memories and strong friendships. We are beyond grateful to Stepping Stones and its incredible team for giving our children such a warm, enriching, and joyful early learning experience. We love this school and recommend it wholeheartedly to any family looking for a nurturing preschool environment where kids are loved, supported, and truly inspired to learn.
This school is the nightmare. Please don’t send your kid to the school. First of all, the two’s, and three's playground are nice maintained. Unfortunately, the new director Riya only shows well to you in the beginning when you toured the school. After you enrolled, we just found everything is different, she lied, and she always has many different excuses even we only spent there half days in this school. My son enrolled into the toddler program, and we paid for full days, the director let us pick my son up before 12 pm, and when we requested to bring my son during outdoor time in the afternoon for couples minutes to help him familiarize with new school and friends, she refused us. And Parents, never pay your tuition to this school before you start it, since they would never refund. I terminated the school one week ago, and they still haven’t responded. We can feel this school management is trying hard to make every penny from kids. If you don’t want to spent your time to know a preschool’s director with her difference excuses please don’t send your kid to a careless school.
Children thrive in this school. The teachers are very caring. Most of the teachers have been in the school for over a decade which ensures consistency for the children. The ratios are low and the quality of care is top notch.
Our kids went here for 1-3 years old. Our kid don't like to go to this school, but she was too young to tell us the reason. There were so many red flags. We observed 1) teachers are owners relatives, and they don't care about the kids. 2) Our kids got bullied many times, the teachers just sat there, chatted and did nothing. Saw it when we picked up our kid. 3)Our kids got punished to stand outside, or they would call us to pick her up, even when she just cried. Worst experience.
