Our son is 3 ½ years old, and he has been going to Stepping Stones Montessori since he was 18 months old. We are constantly told how well-behaved and smart he is, and I always say it’s thanks to them. I was so worried about returning to work initially because I didn’t think anyone could give him the kind of care I would personally give—but the amazing teachers at Stepping Stones are the community I’ve always wished for. I’ve volunteered at the school several times and have seen how it works from the inside, which has given me even more respect for the work that Deborah and her team do. It’s real Montessori teaching. All the kids have independence and pride in their work, and they are constantly learning. Just a small glimpse into the kinds of things they do: hatching baby chicks in the spring, watching caterpillars turn into butterflies and releasing them, growing a garden, and so much more! I’ve had several private conversations with Deborah, and her love of teaching shines from within. She says her favorite thing is to watch a child learn to read, but I truly believe there isn’t anything she doesn’t love about what she does. The children here are taught to be respectful and kind, to help each other and to be considerate. Stepping Stones doesn’t feel like a school we send our son to. It feels like an extension of our family. I’m so excited to see the kind of man our son grows into, and I will forever be grateful for the foundation that Stepping Stones has given him.
Mrs. Scott and her family run this Preschool with so much love and care. Three of our kids went through her school, looking back it was a great decision, zero regrets, and we highly recommend Stepping Stones Montessori for anyone in the area.
Our children have been attending Stepping Stones Montessori for years, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the experience they've had. My daughter has attended Stepping Stones since she was 18 months. I cannot express how lovely all the staff is. My daughter has never hesitated to attend and loves all her teachers. Mrs. Scott is wonderful and so knowledgeable. My daughter has learned to read, write and problem solve. She will be attending kindergarten at stepping stones and im excited to see her thrive once again this year!
