Stepping Stones Learning Ctr

I was considering putting my child in Stepping Stones but after hearing some of the things that they have going on up there absolutely not. The director is never there, they have ROACHES and who knows what else. Don’t even get me started on the weekly cost! $210 for infants that’s ridiculous! The highest weekly rate all in Putnam and neighboring counties. The only reason why I gave it two stars was because I’ve heard good things about some of the staff up there. I will not be sending my child to this daycare nor will I ever step foot in there.

Absolutely horrible. My two grandchildren were enrolled the assistant director did nothing but sit in her office and more recently her grand baby would be with her . Rolled around on a roller with no shoes ever. There was an issue with one of the grandchildren with behavior. When the child acted up , the assistant director instructed them to bring him to her. Every time I was there or picked the kids up, all the teachers were sitting down, no engagement or involvement with and child, or on their phones. Young moms don’t know any better. The oldest child was not allowed to attend and age appropriate classroom because he went to headstart. So the child went to after school age room, with children who knew how to entertain themselves or watch tv. A 4 or 5 year old needs direction, engagement ,redirecting. Why should we be surprised he acted out. A single mom that needs guidance, support, help but received shame and child that thinks he is a bad kid. Damage is done. Prices increased almost weekly, because numbers Dropped, and teachers left. No longer an “Elite” daycare where a curriculum is applied, and children learn about the Lord. When I asked why the other kids didn’t go up in the chapel as well, I was told they weren’t enrolled in that part(because in headstart). The youngest one I could always find in the office so the assistant director could visit with her daughter. I picked up around 5:10. They stayed there until picked up. That is a LONG time for little ones, when puzzles of coloring pages would keep them occupied. One was “Kicked” out and the youngest was taken out a couple months ago. So don’t assume you are getting anything “ special “ or “better” because of the cost…definitely not.

Stepping Stones has been amazing for the past five years we have been there!! Couldn’t say enough positive things about the loving Christian environment!!

We absolutely love Stepping Stones for our two kids.
