Stepping Stones Extended Day Care Program

Stepping Stones is an amazing setting. The outdoor space is engaging and exciting. The indoor space is welcoming and well planned. The kids love the freedom they get to play outside and make messes. Anna and Dave have taken care of countless children, including my own. I can't express how grateful I am to their commitment to providing loving care for the children of this community for a decade. You guys rock!!

For 10 years, I had at least one child at Stepping Stones, and now my oldest sometimes volunteers there during school breaks. Our kids were in daycare from the age of six months, so they were used to other adults and could play by themselves or with a group. As a parent, I felt that their communication was clear and their policies were fair. After all, they are trying to balance the needs of many different children and families. My youngest was sometimes in the swing when I picked him up, but he wanted to be there. Here is what my kids say about their experience there: 1. Stepping Stones is very helpful and educational. 2. They take good care of the kids and do a lot of things to help the children play nicely. 3. They had dairy-free and peanut-free meals [when one of my kids attended]. 4. All of the food served is homemade. I regularly recommend Stepping Stones to my friends with younger children.

My son has been there from 1 to 3 years old now and he really enjoys their yard with chickens and all the cool projects and activities he does throughout the year. I was recommended the daycare by another recipient and it didn't disappoint. I appreciate how much Anna teaches the kids, that she actually has lessons planned out everyday for the whole month, and that she's a lifelong student of childhood brain development and behavior. Her passion for the kids in her care really comes through.

Absolutely love Stepping Stones!! Anna and Dave are amazing providers and give great feedback!! I fell completely secure leaving my 6 month old baby knowing Anna and Dave do their best to accommodate his needs while additionally to all other children evenly. Love how Anna works with me and communicates what and when food has been given or bowel movements etc. absolutely love this day care and the providers 10/10 recommend

Our son has been at Stepping Stones for the past year and a half. Having taught with Anna a decade ago, I knew her program was the perfect space for my son. My son has daily opportunities for social growth with Anna's guidance on friendship skills and problem solving. I feel confident that he has learned great school readiness skills and is ready for TK next year! Anna is communicative about daily happenings. She goes above and beyond to have celebrations and gives opportunities for families to get together and create community, including a pumpkin patch day, graduations, mother's day breakfast and "donuts with dad." I couldn't have asked for a better childcare to get us through toddlerhood and preschool!
