What Parents Say
Stepping Stones Early CDC has highly polarized reviews. Positive reviews praise the staff, caring environment, and 24-hour availability. Negative reviews cite serious concerns including inadequate supervision, staff inexperience, physical discipline allegations, understaffing, and curriculum not being implemented as promised.
They have a rotating door and low staff retention. The curriculum Frog Street is not being used as promised. Which was confirmed by the director of the Mesquite location. A teacher took my child in the bathroom and hit her legs, while she left the classroom unattended. There was no investigation as promised by Mr. Jones. The director took two days to transfer my child at my request to the Lake June location. Once at the Lake June location. I repeatedly received phone calls my child was crying and to pick her up. I never announced my pick up. Once I did arrive to get my child THREE staff members were upfront and the children were unattended. They were crying and coming out of classrooms unsupervised. I received unauthorized recordings of my child crying underneath a table without my permission. They do need to retrain staff to handle children crying and a perceived tantrum. Both locations need better training and parents need to always ask questions because those children watch tv all day. The director at Lake June did try to rectify the problem. However, after many instances that could’ve been handled differently it was not in my best interest nor my child to continue to attend.
I switched my kids from a great facility to this one because I needed later hours and Saturday care. I immediately noticed a decline in their care. Their noses weren’t being wiped. My kids were at this facility 6 months and I probably received 4 pages of art or work they’d done at school. To top everything off they changed management and hired new staff. They clearly had no experience caring for small children. If you don’t mind receiving calls at work because your 18 month old isn’t sleeping during nap time. Then bring your kids here. This is not an environment for your kids to learn and thrive. It’s more like if it’s your only option.
The best childcare in the Pleasant Grove area nice staff the best Director the children love it and I will recommend for my kids to go to that daycare. Actually my kids was raised up in that daycare and now they’re grown.
Love this daycare and their teachers. My girls really love coming here and that just makes me have peace of mind knowing that my girls are comfortable here.
Understaffed and didn’t give my child more than 3 days to get to know them or him. He has ADD so this tells me your daycare doesn’t work well with children at all. Very disappointed in your care system.
