Stepping Stones Children'S Academy

I hope I’m able to express how much my husband and I love this place. As a former educator, my priorities were safety first and then to make sure every student felt loved when they first walked through the door until they left for the day. That’s exactly the experience we have with Stepping Stones. Both of our children started at just a couple months old in the Infant Room with Ms. Anna. She is absolutely amazing! She greets the babies with the biggest smile and an excited hello (in her charming and friendly New York accent). You never have to worry about your babies with her because she keeps communication open and is a pro. The babies are safe, loved, fed, cuddled, and taught basic skills to meet their milestones. As a first time mom with my son, Ms. Anna was very helpful with switching him from breastmilk to formula, then formula to whole milk. She worked with us to get him to hold his own bottles then drink from a straw cup. The afternoon teachers, Sra. Yetsy and Ms. Genevieve, are just as friendly and great! Our babies are always happy with their teachers, and my husband and I are happy knowing that they are loved and we are being updated everyday. I am so excited my daughter is in their care now! Our son is now in the Walker Room with Ms. Miranda. She is super positive with this bunch of 12-18 month olds, and we’ve seen her redirect their attention to avoid tantrums with ease and grace. She teaches the kids many things including how to eat at the table, wash their hands, be gentle with others, and I personally love that they are already making crafts and using markers to work on those fine motor skills. Our son’s language has exploded as well! Ms. Miranda is a toddler whisperer. There's almost always a dance party that we're interrupting when we pick up our son for the day. So fun! Oh, and Ms. Dee, the chef, sometimes visits the rooms, which is a crowd pleaser with the littles. She always has the nicest things to say and makes them smile even when she’s not bringing them a meal. I can’t report on the other classrooms yet, but hopefully I remember to come back and update this review as our family gets there. Overall, the facility is small, and the way it is managed and cleaned is impeccable. We personally love that there aren’t any streamed cameras for parents to view, but the director has her monitors to view from the office. And as far as tuition goes, it is extremely reasonable for what is received - meals, snacks, formula, and incredible childcare. After going on a couple different daycare tours, we chose Stepping Stones because it was the only one that didn’t smell funky (which is pretty amazing), and when we entered the building and each classroom, we were greeted with smiles. The children are happy and engaged. It’s going to be bittersweet when our children graduate from Stepping Stones and move onto public school because this place definitely runs like a family. We love every single teacher we’ve met here and are immensely grateful for the love and care they show our kids. Side note - the older reviews about the director and assistant director are not wrong... BUT the management has thankfully changed as of June 2024. Ms. Tiffany, the current director, is very welcoming and does an amazing job of keeping parents informed of the events and day-to-day operations of the daycare, and Ms. Amethyst is so kind! You can tell everyone really cares for all of the kids.

My daughter LOVES this daycare. She is autistic and is always asking to go! Ms Amethyst is amazing and the rest of the staff seems great as well!

My son has been going to Stepping Stones fro six months now and our experince thus far has been excellent. The teachers and management are caring and had attention to details. My son started with the infant class and have now transitioned to the walker class now, in both classes our expericne has been great with the care provided.

Not sure what all of the negative comments about the daycare or Ms Nancy are coming from. My son has been attending this daycare for just over a year. Ms Lois is great. She's a great teacher and has taught my son so much. All of the other instructors/staff I've encountered has been fantastic as well. Super polite and kind. I can tell they all love my son. Any time my son has had so much as a scratch I've either been notified immediately by phone, or receive a detailed note and explanation from the teacher when I pick him up. My son even came home praying over our meals, which I've never taught him.

I highly recommend Stepping Stones Children's Academy to anyone in search of an excellent day care service. The management and staff are truly dedicated and disciplined. Since joining this academy, my 3 year old as well as my 18 months-old are always excited to go to school. At 18months she has developed a love for writing and scribbling as a hobby. The facility is clean and provides a conducive environment for learning. The location as well as value for price are additional attractions.
