What Parents Say
Parents consistently praise Stepping Stone School for its caring, structured environment and strong teacher-child relationships. The facility is noted for excellent developmental support, diverse enrichment activities, and a welcoming community atmosphere. Multiple reviews highlight long-term positive outcomes and staff dedication to individual children.
We found ourselves at Stepping Stone after our previous childcare center unexpectedly closed. While the transition was initially challenging for our child—mainly due to the larger classroom sizes and a different teacher-to-student ratio (we came from a 1:5 ratio)—he has truly flourished since joining. What stands out most is the sense of community, safety, and love. There are teachers who never even had him in their class who greet him warmly as if they've known him his whole life. They offer a variety of awesome extra curricular activities, field trips, swim days, etc. and really make sure the children are more than ready developmentally to move into the next classroom. He’s now preparing to start kindergarten, but he still absolutely ADORES his 3/4-year-old teacher, Ms. Keisha. He makes it a point to visit her whenever he can! That kind of connection means so much. Stepping Stone has been a wonderful experience for our family—and worth every penny. 🩶
I dearly love this school! Teachers and Administration work together as a team to provide the best experience for the children and their families. Parents are encouraged to be involved in any way they can. There are so many opportunities this school offers that few other facilities have. Awesome positive atmosphere!!!
We quickly realized this was not the place for us. We had concerns about staff attentiveness and safety. Overall I was not pleased with the staff and felt some should probably not be there. I did raise my concerns to the director who was receptive, and I appreciated that. I have to say, everyday there was a little girl (7-8ish) who sat in the corner and cried in the mornings. Staff was indifferent to the situation and it broke my heart. My child used to cry at their previous care center and the staff was so great about immediately involving them in activities to help with the separation anxiety. I’m sure this little girl’s parents would have been devastated to know their child is left alone to cry every morning. It just didn’t sit well with me in addition to other things. Great childcare is hard to find but it’s worth looking for.
I love this school! Mrs.Monica is amazing. She is always so bubbly, and Ms.Nicole is awesome too! The staff is very friendly. I love that this school has a variety of amenities, well kept playgrounds, and clean parking lots. I will say I was iffy and wasn't sure where would be the best fit for my Little guy,but this school has showed nothing but love and care.I am all for it!
My oldest started regular school this past year leaving me caring for only my 2 year old son during the day and I was on the fence battling wether or not I should start working and contribute to our family. My husband encouraged the idea, as my son is extremely attached to Mommy and he felt there was need for him to grow in a more social environment allowing more learning opportunities. The word "daycare" was a scary thought for this stay at home mom! After lots of research and touring several facilities, we found Stepping Stone❤️. Hands down this was the most structured, sanitary, and safe place we had found. Having a secure locked and monitored entrance the children are placed in different class rooms depending upon their age With a minimal age gap between children. Every day I receive a detailed report of what my child did that day along with the sweet peices of art and activities that cover my refrigerator ☺️. I have noticed most every worker speaking to us, telling us bye or stealing a hugs from my sweet boy.... not just his current teachers. When it comes to behavior they are quick to communicate both good and bad reports never leaving you worried or wondering. The atmosphere is very much that of a "school" rather than daycare. With a variety of payment options, they provide drop in care for those days the older ones don't have regular school (which has been SO convenient), school/holiday pictures, and even a monthly date night for parents! This wonderful team of women have made the transition so easy! My son is thriving, and so is my career. I highly recommend Stepping Stone to anyone who wants their child in a place they are highly favored, and well loved!
