A healthy church will by its very nature, grow. A great component of Stephens City United Methodist Church (SCUMC) is to devote time and resources to ministry and outreach. Without strong outreach we cannot discern God's call as to how we might best share Jesus' love within our community. Without strong ministry, how do we teach our children about sharing God's faithfulness and love and show our youth that they are God's children? SCUMC invests in our children by setting examples about how to network with other churches, build partnerships in the neighborhood and share resources to address poverty, sickness and hopelessness. The SCUMC congregation has a purpose to invest our lives in others. Our focus is on God and teaching others to know Him. This church maintains the resources to do the work of the ministry and to build trusting relationships in the community. SCUMC maintains a sizeable food pantry supporting southern Frederick County, a pre-school, daycare and hosts the Shenandoah Area on Aging Agency (SAAA) senior center.
Great atmosphere..very nice building..great church service...and recently granddaughter had her graduation from her class there. People also are very kind and social.
