This review is long overdue but I just want to express how much I love and appreciate Step by Step. My son started VPK this year and he was pretty behind and had no interest in school but with much patience and love Ms Stacey and Ms Gracie have worked with him and we can see the progress he’s made and the love for learning beginning to show. He is doing so much better with his writing and fine motor skills. He loves counting EVERYTHING now and even his vocabulary and expression/manners have improved. I am beyond grateful to his teachers and all the staff that always show him so much love and care! You guys are truly awesome!
This is not a good school to put your children in, they do not cater to each child’s needs. My daughter is 4 and autistic, and she went there from 03/2025-12/25. While she was there no issues were reported until she got a new teacher her name is Ciara Michelle. Within her first week there my daughter came home with grab marks on her wrist. After going through video footage I observed the teacher just sitting on her phone, not paying attention to any children. Her own child is in that classroom i witnessed her son take toys from other children and even pushed a little girl on the ground with the behavior gone unaddressed. She’s very lazy, and the whole company is sloppy. They only advocate for the people they employ and not the children that keep them in business. It’s very sad. It was a great daycare before they fired all the people that actually care about kids.
They were awesome with my daughter. She is 2 and she loved everyone there. I hate so much that I had to pull her out due to losing my job but as soon as I’m able to she will be going right back to them!! She asks me every day if she can go see her friends and it breaks my heart but also makes me so happy that she loved being there. I can’t say that for the first daycare she went to in Yulee. 10/10 definitely recommend. Especially for the 2 year old room. Those teachers are amazing!!!
This facility is clean, well organized, and provides diversity for my twin toddlers. They believe play is essential to child development so the kids spend time each day in free play outside on an age appropriate playground. The teachers are firm and provide structure to the children which has helped with my toddlers obedience at home. The staff make every effort and accommodation to help new children adjust which I’ve greatly appreciated. At every request by me as an overly involved parent they’ve gone above and beyond. If you want your child to have a structured education experience with outside play and a highly diverse staff, then send your little one here.
