When i walked in i was greeted like family, coffee snacks and then the band played, the drummer was absolutely amazing, he must have been in a real band, when a church band is like going to a concert you know that something is right. The pastor had a great sermon changed many beliefs I had on things and helped me see more and think less about what others are doing and why they are better then me and more about my self and what I'm doing. 👍
I recently went to a wedding here and everything was very nice. The service was great and the pasture / minister did an amazing job during the wedding. Ask for a church I never went to a service here but the church has been there for a very long time. Oh, there's an amazing pipe organ there that I do have to mention.
First Presbyterian Church of Lansdowne is a mix of contemporary music and tradition hymns. The pastor, Rev Dr Nancy Timothy, (Pastor Nancy) is a FIREBALL of energy and love. She truly loves people and serves all like family. I love this pastor so much! She makes the church a family.... and she lets you believe your own creed...never forces any 'hard fast beliefs' on anybody. She just loves you for who you are. I have never met anyone who lives a life so much like Jesus lived. In service and love to all. The church has MANY opportunities to give your time and intellegence in serving the community in need (we house the interfaith food cupboard), the on-site nursery school, thrift shop and the buildings and grounds always need something. This church is unpretenious and really like a family of friends. Sundays at 9AM for Spirit Talk Coffee Forum and 10AM for Worship Services. It may change your Lansdowne life... making so many new friends. You'll be glad you came.
Hosts the Strawberry festival every year. Always a fun event. Has two nice halls also for hosting events. Soup for the soul runs here as well.
