Step Ahead Child Care Academy INC.

Our two sons have been at Step Ahead for the past four years, and we could not be more grateful for the experience they’ve had. From day one, the teachers have been incredibly thoughtful and welcoming, and were never concerned about sending them to school. Always was a safe and secure environment. The facility is extremely clean, it's a comfortable space, lots of development activities/toys and outdoor time, a great common area for meal time, and again clean and spacious communal bathrooms for the potty trainers. The energy and passion the teachers and leadership bring each day is remarkable. They have such love for the kids and connect with them to develop socially, emotionally, and academically. Step Ahead has created a great foundation for them to continue onto kindergarten.

My daughter has attended Step Ahead since she was 7 months old, and has just moved on to a different daycare because we moved to a different area. During her time at Step Ahead, she has come home everyday with fun and exciting stories about her day, and we have seen her grow and develop amazing language and social skills. Step Ahead makes sure that each classroom focuses on developmentally appropriate milestones, while also maximizing fun for the kids, including sensory bins, cooking activities, music, walks, and trips to the library across the street. They also go all out for summer programming (petting zoo, pony rides, music activities, bounce house, etc). Every single day the teachers there are excited, energized, and happy to be with the kids. I cannot recommend Step Ahead enough.

I have had two kiddos attend Step Ahead since they were each 12 weeks old and it has been the best experience. The teachers in the baby room were so comforting, kind, loving. Even as a new mom, I never questioned whether my kids were in the right place. They do all kinds of fun, educational things as the kids grow. It’s so cute hearing which classroom jobs (like line leader, announcing the weather, etc) that they do, and they send daily updates which are really helpful. Summer camp is AMAZING with special events (we planned our vacation around it), and preschool had my son entering kindergarten above grade level. We just wish they’d make a cookbook so we could copy the lunches my kids still request! :) We love Step Ahead!

My kiddo went to Step Ahead for over a year and I cannot stress how incredible this school is. The staff is amazing and so caring and patient with kids. So many staff members have been there for years. I was not able to find another daycare with as many tenured staff members. My daughter absolutely loved going to school here. If you have the opportunity to send your children here, I would definitely take it. Cannot recommend Step Ahead enough.

I feel SO grateful to have found Step Ahead. I (and I know I’m not alone) care so deeply about where I send my son, and did a lot of digging to find this gem of a place. They gave me plenty of references to call, which eased my mind — in addition to the positive word of mouth I’ve heard from folks in the neighborhood. Every single teacher is so kind, cares SO much and gets to know your kid very deeply. But the best “review” of all in my books is that my son is so excited to go to school every day! Thanks to ALL the teachers who make SA such a great place. I’d name everyone but I’d probably run out of space!
