Our daughter starting going here when she was just a year old and initially had some trouble getting used to a daycare setting, every single teacher at this establishment treated my daughter like their own. Over 2.5 years, I watched as my child grew and flourished here under their care. And we couldn't be more grateful for the love and attention they gave to our kiddo. We sadly had to move away but we couldn't recommend this place more!
From the mother of a special needs child: My kid has been coming here full-time and part-time for over 4 years. Staff have been incredibly caring, patient, and helpful. Staff have been receptive to new ways to help my child. Staff have been able to maintain a good discourse with me about how we can work through challenges together. Thank you for your dedication and care for our children. Shout out to Mrs. Jess, Makayla, Shantell, Tania, Keilynn, Vienna, Kristen, and many other staff members who have been outstanding. I want you to know that you all made a difference in my child's life. We appreciate all of the learning and enjoyment you bring into our child's life. Thank you for making the childcare a safe and caring place. Your hard work and dedication are much appreciated. Thank you for calming our minds and taking such fantastic care of our kiddos. You're doing an excellent job, and we want you to know it is recognized. I would definitely Recommend this daycare. When we take the time to write about all of the unpleasant things that happen, we frequently fail to give credit where it is due! So I'm writing this review with happy tears in my eyes because my child no longer need as much daycare time, and we'll both miss the staff dearly!
Stay N Play is a wonderful child care center. 3 of my children attend here. My 10 year old attends the summer school age program which is exceptional. The teacher engages the children in fun learning all summer long and they go on multiple weekly field trips. My 3 yr. old and 5 yr old attend in the preschool rooms. They also are engaged in various learning activities throughout the day. They are 4-Star Parent Aware rated, which is wonderful for my family as both of my preschoolers were able to utilize their Early Learning Scholarship at the center.
They send children home with fevers that do not have fevers...For record (complaint to the state) sakes have take my son immediately to ACMC right after he was sent home this week (3-6-16 to 3-11-16) and both times his temp was 98.0 when they said he had a temp of 102.7 on Monday and 101.7 on Thursday. The Dr on Thursday (His regular pediatrician) made me call them to comfirm his temps as I got in within 20 minutes of him being sent home from daycare. She stated there is no reason he should have been sent home but he still wasn't allowed to go to daycare Friday even though the Dr said at 9 AM that he was perfectly fine. He was tested for influenza, fever and strep throat. We are looking for another daycare as in my opinion they are probably short staffed and that's why they send my son and other kids home who are healthy...Beside sending a complaint to the state I will also be submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau.
The CEO Kristen is very unfriendly. If you try to talk with somebody higher up your shot down. The owner is the CEO's mother! They have very unorganized billing! They will give you a bill with a large lump sum. If you get ANY kind of county help what so ever they DON'T include this in your direct billing. Infact my son went there over 6months, i had a stack of these crazy bills plus auto drafts from my account i assumed everything was fine. I pulled my son out gave my 2wks notice due to them having my pick him up every other week for crazy ridiculous things and plus my son was getting "ouch reports" every other day some of the time nobody could tell me what had happened (like when he ended up with a giant goose egg on his head). I get one big bill for over $600.00. I spent a day picking through each auto draft they took, all there paperwork for what county pays them, what the difference is and i did owe them a little over $500.00 which i paid immediatly and provided documents. the assistant Cassie agreed with my paperwork and stated the county probably still is sending a payment which is why there is a difference i told stay n play to send me a bill if its wrong and provide WHY i owe .....which they couldn't do in the first place and thats why i had to pick everything apart and spend my time correcting there billing. I am not the only person to end up with LARGE lump sum bills and nobody says anything to you or gives you a direct bill for months! They also have never sent me tax info on what i paid for 2012 or 2013. When this was addressed yesterday i get told by Kristen to bad so sad i sent them out and oh yeah you owe use 159.00 still. I requested a bill they refuse to mail anything out. She stated this amount was owed because the county shorted them on there normal pay. THIS WOULD MAKE IT A MATTER BETWEEN COUNTY AND THE CENTER. Kristen also told a friend of mine that she gave a $800.00 bill to that she would not giver her tax info on what she paid since she had a balance left of $400.00. THIS IS ILLEGAL. and i have reported them to the BBB.
