Great service - thanks Deanna - outstanding resources - safe clean beautiful facility - lots of options! We signed up for the very cost effective Senior Couple price. He'll lift and cycle, I'll swim and yoga.
Understandably, the YMCA is a family-focused facility. However, as an adult trying to work out or even use the walking path, there has consistently been an overwhelming number of children and teens running around, blocking the path, or taking videos of themselves. It seems this place has become more of an after-school hangout than a space to work out peacefully. I say this respectfully as a parent, but every visit was disrupted or chaotic due to teenagers everywhere in the way. For this reason, I no longer use the facility and have cancelled my membership.
Had a birthday party for our 2 granddaughters here. Place is very nice, staff friendly and helpful. Nice pool for all the kids and the room for the party was well set up and clean. The facility is easy to get to, ample parking, and very well maintained.
The only issue I had was that the life guard (young man) choose to wait until not only was my husband in the closed pool for about 10 minutes, but I walked over to ask him about an easy walkin area of the pool. He didn't tell me any of the pools were closed. He waited until I climbed down inside using the steep foot holds in the wall of the pool to come over and tell me he told me the pool was closed. I then explained he should be facing older people when speaking, as I never heard him say it was closed. The noise from the fans are super loud. The other staff were super nice. Also, the preschoolers use the kiddie pool. How cool is that!!?
Been coming to the YMCA for one week now every time I show up the cyclone pool is not open. It’s always some excuse or another when I do get there early in the morning there’s not enough people on staff when the Lap pool is full you can’t use the other one they need more help. I need to turn on the cyclone. I’m an early person, not an afternoon person no matter where your money comes from for your membership. Should have more people on staff to cover.
