What Parents Say
This YMCA facility receives consistently positive reviews from members who appreciate the clean, well-maintained space and friendly staff. While compact in size, members report having sufficient equipment for effective workouts and value the strong community atmosphere. The facility is noted for excellent staff, particularly in childcare and front desk services.
I really like this place. I’m there several times a week. Staff is always friendly and the equipment works and it’s always clean. I do have a wish list though. 1. I wish it was 24/7. I can understand not having Ironworks 24/7 but this facility is small enough to work. If you’re only using this facility, it’s hard to see the benefit over Anytime Fitness. 2. A second cable crossover somewhere would be amazing.
First time here. Seen this in the locker room and made me have the feels. I have disabled sons and its easier to shower at YMCA with the shower chairs and bigger space.
This is a smaller YMCA but you can still get a good workout in. Depending on what time you go the free weight area can be a little congested but there's plenty of cardio and weight equipment in the facility that you can work around that. Staff is friendly and classes seem to be well attended. Fun fact: this used to be a bowling alley.
Been a member for quite sometime 12+ years, love the community and friendship I have made here. Yes I have tried other gyms but recently I learned that I get as much in my workouts if I put my 100 % in; it is not the fancy place is the people that make that place worthwhile and the STATELINE YMCA is the place for me and my family!
I would do the summer student deal for 3 months and the winter student deal for 1 month. The first 3 times I did this with my debit card, theyd overcharge me after the 3 months or 1 month membership that was agreed upon. When I went to sign up, it seemed like they had no idea what they were doing. The last time, I decided to pay for the winter student deal all up front in cash so they couldn't overcharge me. About 6 months after I the winter membership, I got a letter from the state collection service saying I owed YMCA an additional 20 dollars. This charge was wrong and should not have ever happened. I paid in full to start with. In addition, I hadn't received any phone call or letter from YMCA before this telling me about this wrongful charge. I had to call and eventually they cancelled the charge, but I'm sure it hurt my credit score. They have no idea what they're doing at the front desk. Peaks is a little bit more expensive, but a lot better facility and doesn't cause the extra trouble.
